Xuemei got up to bring in a fresh pot of hot tea. As she looked down at her waist, her face froze, and her heart skipped a beat.
She quickly felt around herself, but couldn't find it anywhere!
"What's wrong?" Lin Jiaojiao looked up to ask. She was currently embroidering a sachet, as the one she'd made for Yan Sihan last time was too hasty.
"Your Majesty, my sachet is missing. I want to go out and look for it." Xuemei said with an anxious face.
Seeing this, Lin Jiaojiao hesitated for a moment and then said, "The outside is unstable, don't go out too much. How much money did you lose? I'll reimburse you."
"It's not... but there's a jade pendant in it that my mother left for me."
Although the jade pendant wasn't worth much, it was her mother's last keepsake. She had carried it with her all these years, never letting it leave her side.
Lin Jiaojiao knew the importance of the jade pendant to Xuemei, and so she said, "Go ahead, have Shisan send someone with you."
