Chapter 62 - Chapter 62- A difficult battle

The huge, dark figure stood still for several minutes, while dark clouds swiftly blanketed the sky. Rain began to pour from the heavens. Decker stepped out of this huge dark figure, his clothes tattered and his hair a wild mess. He looked up into the sky, feeling the rain drops falling on his skin. Stretching out his hand, he observed the droplets sliding down his fingers. "Hehe, the heavens are crying for the Crimsons."

However, Decker's moment of victory was short-lived. A spear cut through the air, piercing the dark giant in its chest, eliciting a low, guttural growl. Fury ignited within Decker; he gritted his teeth before rushing to the edge of the room to see who had thrown the spear. It didn't take long for him to spot the perpetrators. Disgust twisted his face as he saw Reina and her companions below. He turned his gaze back to the giant dark figure. "Go kill them. They're nothing but annoying fucking insects, and I want them stepped on, hard."

The giant dark figure let out a thunderous cry. It obeyed the command, leaping down and causing the ground to crack, a loud noise echoing as it made contact with the floor.

"Spread out!" Reina shouted, her voice cutting through the chaos.

The giant dark figure's head turned like a blur to the one that just spoken. Reina was now its first target and it wasted no time. It unleashed a powerful punch towards Reina.

"Blood step" she exclaimed, narrowly dodging the blow. The ground beneath her shattered from the force of the attack.

"Attack the legs" Paul ordered the other three vampire knights. They immediately nodded their heads and sprang into action targeting the giant's left leg. Both the vampire used their swords to strike the dark figure's leg but it was like striking an impenetrable iron wall. They slashed repeatedly, struggling to pierce the creature's dark skin.

"Our weapons don't seem to have any effect on this monster!" one of the vampire knights shouted in frustration.

"Stop complaining and keep hitting the leg!" the second knight urged, determination fueling his voice.

The dark giant figure, towering at nearly six meters, looked down at the two vampire knights relentlessly attacking its leg. It let out a faint growl, a low rumble that reverberated through the air, before retaliating. One vampire knight was swiftly kicked in the chest, the force knocking the wind out of him and sending him sprawling to the ground. The second knight was about to meet a similar fate when Helen, acting quickly, lunged in from the right and stabbed the giant's leg, causing a shallow but painful wound. This distraction was enough to divert the dark giant's attention.

As the giant turned its focus toward Helen, she had already retreated, her instincts guiding her to safety just in time. The knight who had been striking the giant's leg also fell back, gasping for breath.

Reina rushed to join Helen, both of them staring up at the colossal figure looming over them. "What are we going to do about this monster, sister? Our swords can't even pierce its skin!" she exclaimed, frustration evident in her voice.

Reina hesitated; her gaze fixed on the dark giant. She had deliberately held back, observing the creature's movements in hopes of identifying any weaknesses. "This monster is probably just too strong," she replied thoughtfully. "For now, I think our only option is to stall for time and look for an opening."

Caden, in the meantime, was engaged in a fierce exchange of blows with the dark shadow. The shadow clone swung its blade-like arm in a swift side slash, but Caden parried it with exceptional skill.

"Damn, I'm not even fighting a living thing. How is this creature getting stronger as we go? I need to end this before things spiral out of control!"

Caden then raised his spiritual force and he dashed towards the shadow clone at full speed. He jumped high into the air until both of his feet reached the ceiling. You would think that because of gravity he would fall down to the ground but both his feet as sticking to the ceiling like glue.

With his long hair cascading downward, he peered at the shadow clone. They locked eyes, and Caden felt a chill; there was no life or consciousness in the creature's gaze.

"Come up and fight me you fucking black turd" Caden beckoned the shadow clone to him.

The shadow clone looked at Caden emotionlessly, it then shook its head from side to side. Caden did not know what this thing is implying. The creature then held out its hand and a dark energy orb formed from the palm of its hand. The shadow clone then gave off a light chuckle before firing off a dark energy attack, heading straight towards Caden.

"Blood step" Not wanting to take the attack head on, Caden narrowly evading the attack. The dark energy orb tore a small hole through the ceiling, a seemingly minor attack that proved highly effective.

"Ick!" Caden gasped, caught off guard by the blast.

"What the…? This creature has that in its arsenal? I need to be more careful from now on; otherwise, I'll be in big trouble!"

The shadow clone unleashed more dark energy attacks but Caden ran along the ceiling, dodging each sphere as it hissed past him. The shadow clone followed suit from below, relentlessly firing dark energy spheres in rapid succession.

Then, Caden spotted something on the ceiling that sparked an idea. Glancing down, he saw the shadow clone hot on his heels. A grin spread across his face. "Yes, keep following me, you fool.".

As he ran along the ceiling that was full of small holes from the shadow clone's earlier attacks. He deftly severed the chandelier hanging overhead. The heavy fixture plummeted toward the shadow clone below.

The chandelier struck with a small impact, momentarily stunning the shadow clone, which hadn't anticipated such a clever tactic from the vampire. That split-second distraction from the chandelier was enough for the vampire to seize an opportunity for a counter attack.

"Blood Strike- Graceful Decapitation"

Caden came down at full speed with both hands on the sword's hilt. The ceiling cracked beneath him as he launched himself toward the shadow clone, aiming to end the battle decisively. The shadow clone did not have a chance to react from the incoming assault. His sword pierced the neck of the shadow, cleanly severing its head from its shoulders.

"You were an annoying little prick" he muttered

He walked to where the shadow clone's head were laying. He stared down at it, then spat on its face in contempt. Furthermore, he then slowly lifted his foot of the ground and brought it down, crushing the head with a single stomp.

"Phew" he wiped the sweat from his forehead until a noise from outside caught his attention.

"Huh?" He dashed to the window, his eyes widening at the sight of a massive dark figure looming below.

"What the fuck is this?"

As he scanned the surrounding below "Who the hell is fighting this monster?", then he saw his mother and the others in a battle against this dark giant figure "Shit, I have to help them".

Reina quickly issued orders to the vampire knights "You lot are going to keep the giant busy while me and Helen is going to charge up a full powered blood punch. We need to damage this creature as much as possible"

The knights nodded in agreement. "Yes, my lady," they replied in unison.

One knight who had been kicked by the giant dark figure had already recovered and was ready to rejoin the fray. The three vampire knights led by Paul split up, attacking the giant from three different angles. "Try not to get hit by this creature!" Paul shouted to his comrades.

"Do you think this is going to work, sister?" Helen couldn't help but ask, her voice laced with concern.

"I don't know," Reina admitted, grimacing. "You already stabbed the creature with your sword, and I'm pretty sure you infused the weapon with spirit force, but it barely left a mark. This is likely a demon."

"A demon?" Helen exclaimed. She gritted her teeth, her eyes wide with disbelief "Did Decker really made a deal with a demon? How is this possible?"

"It's very much possible sister. But this is no time to think about what happened. We need to defeat this creature, otherwise our whole clan will be killed" Reina said with a serious tone. "Let's begin"

They both began to charge their fists, preparing to unleash a powerful blood punch. Meanwhile, the vampire knight Paul became the target of the dark giant figure. The creature unleashed powerful punches that sent shockwaves rippling through the ground.

Rubble, rocks, and sand splashed everywhere with each heavy blow from the giant. Paul managed to dodge the creature's attack just in time.

Paul's anger had reached boiling point. He then ran up under the creature "You fucker, making me run like a headless chicken". He then jumped and stabbed the creature in the area where a human's testicles would be. "Take this you overgrown piece of shit"

His sword was imbued with spirit force to increase the damage output but all of his stab attacks was almost useless as it only left the creature's crotch area with scratch marks. The creature then looked down between its legs, it then tried to grab the vampire knight but he was too fast for the giant. It then decided to jump upward. Paul looked up and noticed that this giant was about to stomp its feet on the ground.

"Retreat!"

The giant creature came crashing down, stomping both of its massive feet onto the ground, unleashing a wave of destruction. Dust and debris filled the air as Paul shouted. "My lady, we need your assistance! This battle is spiraling out of control!"

"We're ready," Reina replied, her voice steady despite the chaos. "Create an opening for us!"

The three vampire knights looked at each other and nodded in unison. They were going to distract the giant creature in order for the two female vampires to unleash a powerful attack.

With a fierce battle cry, Paul sprinted toward the dark giant, leaping high into the air until he was face-to-face with the monstrous figure. His muscles tensed, preparing to deliver a powerful hook punch.

The punch successfully connected but it felt like a tickle to the giant creature. Paul couldn't believe how strong this thing is "Impossible"

The dark giant figure then swatted the vampire to the ground with one swing. The ground shook and he could feel the bones breaking throughout his body. Just as the giant wanted to kill the vampire with a follow up punch, one of the vampire knights used the blood step technique to save Paul from being crushed to paste.

"Hey ugly" a voice called out, her voice slicing through the chaos.

The giant looked to where the voice came from and saw Helen standing gracefully with her fist bright red like a ruby, rich and alluring, veins snaking beneath the surface.

"Blood step", she dashed toward the giant. With a tremendous leap, she closed the distance, landing within striking range. "Take this!"

"Blood Punch!"

She unleashed a vicious punch to the abdomen, this attack would have put an end to most opponents but this giant dark figure wasn't a normal enemy that can be one shotted, this was created by a demon from a different dimension.

The impact of Helen's blood punch sent the dark giant staggering back a few steps, but it quickly regained its balance. Helen stared in disbelief, her heart racing. "How can this be?" she muttered, retreating to regroup.

"Let me give it a try, sis," Reina said, her voice steady despite the dread that gripped her. Without waiting for a response, she lunged forward, her determination fueling her movements. She aimed for the same spot as Helen, channeling every ounce of her strength.

"Blood punch!" the punch send shockwaves through the giants body.

However, the dark giant figure only stumbled a couple of steps back but did not fall. Cold sweat trickled down Reina's back as despair began to creep in. "This creature is unstoppable. How long can we keep this going until this demon kills us"

"Let me try mother"

Caden bolted pass his mother, his fist was like an blazing heated iron of destruction "Burning Blood Punch". He punched the dark giant figure deep into its stomach.

This time, the response was different. The creature was sent hurtling back, as if a child's toy had been flung across the room. A small burned hole appeared in its midsection, releasing a hiss of steam.

"Looks like you can't stand against the flames of hell"
