Chereads / GINNY / Chapter 6 - 5

Chapter 6 - 5

Nissy was squealing and laughing with pure joy,"I have wanted to do this since I can remember!"

Ginny frowned, she wasn't in her best mood anymore, "You mean torture me?"

Nissy laughed not taking her seriously, "Play dress up with you. Who knew you were hiding all that under that pile of clothes that you always throw on? Goodness me! Look at that skin? Is it because you are always covered? It's glowing and smooth." She circled around her sister again for the uncountable time that afternoon. Like a master craftsman, crafting her best work yet. "I have decided!" she said with determination.

Ginny wasn't impressed, she had heard this statement so many times she wondered when Nissy would actually decide.

Nissy took yet another dress and shoved it into her sister's hands, "Put this on and I promise we are out the door after that. Sister's honor," she lifted her hand as if pledging to keep her word this time.

Ginny sighed, taking the dress and changing again. There was a big pile of clothes on the floor by now. She discarded another shimmering dress and put on yet another dress. She had been excited when they started but now, she didn't care to see what type of dress it was as long as she didn't get it on backwards. But this dress, plain as it seemed, it fit her like a glove. The navy blue color seemed to compliment her skin so well.

"Yes! That's what I'm talking about!" Nissy said with a grunt, "If you weren't my sister, I would be jealous right now. This dress, plain as it looks, refused to sit well on my body. It just looked wrong and plain and... wrong. But on you, sis...I love it! Scratch the earlier statement, I'm jealous right now."

Ginny looked down on herself, feeling the luxurious material on her body. She loved it too, especially because it had long sleeves and a high round neck. That was before she noticed the slit going past her left knee, but she felt she could wear it. The slit wasn't visible while she stood only when she walked.

Nissy paired it with some African print jewelry and low heeled sandals and a clutch. She grumbled and complained as she styled her natural hair. Ginny couldn't understand why she was complaining so much of course because her hair was at it's softest after using the hair care products she found in her sister's bedroom.

They finally managed to leave the house a little after six pm. All dressed up and looking good, they got into an Uber and went to a five star restaurant.

In the car, Ginny had realized that her dress wasn't as okay as she had first thought. The slit parted and her leg was exposed while she sat. She hoped she would find a way to cover it up or at least hide it under the table.

"Sweety? Stop trying to cover the leg while you walk. Just walk normally and we will be there before you know it. It's just a few steps away now. Walking like that will just draw more attention to you," Nissy said as they walked up to the restaurant entrance.

"It's not that easy, big Sis. I feel breeze in places breeze should not be," Ginny grumbled. She did her best to walk normally and when she realized people weren't watching them, she started feeling much more relaxed. She started to realize, people were too busy talking to whoever they were with. It wasn't like back in their neighborhood were it was flooded with their church members who would frown at their current dressing. She didn't feel like she was being watched and that feeling made her feel relaxed even further.

"That's more like it. Keep it up."

"Good evening. Do you have a reservation?" a waiter greeted them at the entrance with a friendly smile.

Nissy smiled at him, "Good evening. Yes, under Wolf."

"Ohh, you are Mr. Wolf's company? He is already waiting. Please follow me."

Ginny looked around with curious eyes as she trailed behind her sister and the waiter. It was twinkling everywhere. The deco was out of a magazine she had seen once. Something she had thought she would never see in her life time.

She looked at her sister's back wondering just what kind of boyfriend she got because even though Grace's husband was of the richest people she had ever met, he never let any of the sisters tug along when they were dating. Much less talk about spending money on any of them. Maybe he didn't know she was coming too? If he doesn't, will he be okay with her showing up along with her sister to disturb their date?

Feeling uneasy about making her sister's boyfriend a unhappy, she called out to her sister in a low voice, "Sis? Sis?" but it was too late.

"Here you are, ladies," the waiter announced as they arrived at a table.

"Hey, my love," Nissy walked a little quicker and hugged a man at the table, oblivious to her sister's turmoil.

Ginny stayed a few feet away, closer to the next table than the one her sister's boyfriend was sitting. Unsure of what to do.

Well, it seemed like her dear sister had forgotten to mention one major thing about her boyfriend. Ginny felt even more out of place now after seeing him.

He was tall, lean, pale skined with brown hair and blue sparkling eyes. He was good looking in his fitted suit, expensive looking shoes and watch.

Nissy turned to where Ginny was supposed to be standing and didn't find her there. When she saw her so far away she came to drag her next to the table where her boyfriend was standing. "Come on, sweety. Don't be shy."

"I'm not shy..." Ginny didn't get to say more as Nissy dragged her over despite her effort to talk to her first.

"She can be a bad listener when excited, isn't it?" the boyfriend said directly to Ginny when they got to him.

Ginny looked at him, a little surprised that he was the one initiating conversation with her. "Yah, she can be pushy and bossy as well when excited," Ginny agreed readily and added, "But...she's a great big sister."

"And lover," the man added with a loving look as he pulled pouting Nissy into his arms.

"Don't worry, big sis. We weren't saying anything bad about you, only the truth," Ginny added, feeling comfortable in a man's presence for the first time in a long time.

"Ginny? Is it okay if I call you by your name? I feel like I already know you," he smiled at her warmly.

Ginny smiled back, "Of cause. Can I call you big brother?"

"I would love that a lot."

Someone sighed loudly nearby and a jiggle of keys was heard.

They all turned to look at the direction of the sound, only for Ginny to realize they had a spectator all along.

"I will be on my way..."

Ginny's eyes found the man who was standing from their table. She had not noticed him there at all. Maybe because she thought her sister's boyfriend would be on his own, she never expected anyone else there.

The man was very handsome with striking features. Low cut hair, thick, black eyebrows on top of piercing brown eyes...

'What are you doing, Ginny?!' she scolded herself forcing her eyes down. She had been ogling a man!
