Part of her wanted him to be there, to hold her and comfort her in this moment of need. But at the same time, she knew that it was too dangerous for him to come. The enemy had a hold of her now, and if Sebastian came to her rescue, he would be putting himself in grave danger without the guarantee that she would even be able to survive this.
Elle did not want to see Sebastian suffer again. She had already been through so much, and she could not bear the thought of him going through the same pain and torment that she had endured.
