The sun shined brightly across the blue skies and was accompanied by patches of clouds that moved at a snail's pace, casting momentary shadows on the ocean's surface.

It was a large sailing ship with three sails; the mainsail is left opened while the other two are furled.
The ship sailed according to the wind's direction towards the north.
