"Brother!" Jingfei and Lan'er called out in distress.
The pale Zed raised his hand to reassure them. "I-I'm fine..."
But his appearance was anything but fine.
His face was as pale as sheets while his eyes were sunken due to exhaustion. Along with his labored breathing and extremely hot temperature, he seemed as if he was suffering from an extreme fever.
"I'm fi- cough!" Zed didn't expect to cough large amount of blood that it spilled from his hand and nose.
'Saying that I'm fine would be lying... and my lie isn't going to convince anyone especially with my arm and leg still severed like this...'
"But... now isn't the goddamn time!" Zed spat out the remaining blood in his mouth and looked at Lan'er seriously.
Jingfei and Lan'er flinched from Zed's sudden outburst but listened to him nonetheless.
"Lan'er, Recover your qi as much as possible."
