Chapter 77: The Monoliths
Shuffle.. Shuffle.. Shuffle..
Just then, Zed heard a series of mechanic shuffling noises from the monolith.
"Oh it's happening." said Lan'er and walked closer to the monolith.
Confused, Zed picked himself up from the ground and moved behind Lan'er.
"What's happening, Lan'er? Also more importantly, did you also get sent to that strange place?"
Lan'er looked at him. "Does brother mean that dark place where you are constantly attacked by long needles?"
"Yes. Are you alright?" Zed asked worriedly before checking her for any wound.
Lan'er made a soft sigh which turned into a small smile as she reassured Zed. "Lan'er is fine, brother."
"Brother must have also suffered a fatal wound that didn't feel different from a real one, right?"
Hearing that, Zed murmured in confusion, "Now that you have mentioned it... the hole in my chest is gone."
