Chapter 19 - Integration of the Alchemy God

The next day, Mei Yue woke up in the morning. After taking a bath, he calmed his mind before entering the Heavenly Crown.

Mei Yue entered the world inside the Heavenly Pearl. After taking the familiar jade path, he reached the Nine-Story Pagoda and entered it.

With a flash, Mei Yue appeared on the First Floor of the Nine-Story Pagoda.

After arriving here, he leisurely went to the Nine-tailed Fox Cauldron and opened its lid.

Inside the space of the Nine-tailed Fox Cauldron, there were three balls of bright light covered in their respective barrier.

It was time to put Mei Yue's plan in motion, integrating with the alchemy god's precious memories.

As mentioned earlier when Mei Yue entered the Nine Story Pagoda for the first time, he came to know that if he wanted to merge with the memories of three ancient gods, he needed to have a certain amount of strength.

For the memories of Ancient Alchemy God, if he wanted to break its barrier, he needed the strength of the Profound Spirit Realm.

As for the other two Ancient Gods' memories, he needed to have the strength of a True Spirit Realm and Earth Spirit Realm respectively.

Now that Mei Yue accomplished the first stage of his plan of breaking through into the Profound Spirit Realm, it was time to enter the second stage of his plans, as he now had enough strength to break through the barrier protecting the Alchemy God's memories.

Once the three balls of bright light appeared in front of him, Mei Yue carefully took out the white-colored ball of light which was covered with a layer of protective barrier.

After Mei Yue took out the memories of the Ancient Alchemy God, he first closed the lid of the cauldron, he then looked toward the corner of the first-story pagoda and saw a black and blue sapphire sword.

This sword was the same sword he created when he massacred the people belonging to the Dancing Nymph Auction House. Instead of just unmanifesting it, he figured just in case he needed the sword once more which he knows he will that it's easier to just store it inside the pagoda as it slowly trickles a bit of spirit energy off him.

Grabbing the sword, he slashed at the orb.

"CRACK!... crack...crackle."

The sound of the barrier cracking could be heard as the first large crack appeared in it. Then the second crack and then the third.

One after another cracks continued to appear on the surface of the barrier.

"BOOM!"

With a loud bang, the sound of the barrier breaking resounded out, as the barrier that was protecting the memories of Ancient Alchemy God shattered apart and a white ball of light flew out from within it.

Mei Yue quickly threw the sword aside and sat down cross-legged.

Mei Yue didn't move once he sat down as he knew how the process of how integrating starts, as the white ball of light entered between the middle of Mei Yue's brows on its own.

Mei Yue's face instantly turned a bright red and his veins started showing as he clenched his teeth extremely hard but didn't make a sound even though it felt like someone stabbed a thousand swords between his brows.

He kept his hands on top of his thighs as his palms faced downward no matter how much he wanted to clench them into a fist and clutch his head, Mei Yue figured this was a good way to train his will and discipline even though the pain was excruciating.

His initial reflexes were screaming as if he was holding a cup in his hands and someone started pouring boiling water and slightly missing the cup on purpose so that the boiling water would drench his fingers.

One's initial reaction to this would be to drop the cup and move their hand away, but if one had a strong deep will and discipline one would bear with the pain until the cup is full without moving a muscle.

This is what Mei Yue was currently doing, tempering his will and discipline.

As he was training, a stream of information and memories entered his mind one after another and imprinted everything into his mind.

Mei Yue continued to bear with the pain but as a few seconds went by it continued increasing as if someone stabbed a flaming hot sword between his brows while burning his fingers and whipping him with a whip all at the same time he felt his entire body become numb as he felt his conscious slowly fade.

He knew that this was enough to temper his will and discipline to a certain extent but that wasn't good enough for him. Left with one choice he bit down on his tongue hard to the point where it started to bleed. As if his mind received a bolt of lightning he felt his conscious shock back awake.

After an unknown amount of time, he felt the information becoming less and less and with it, the pain started going away until everything stopped leaving a completely soaked Mei Yue gasping for air.

After a few seconds of gasping for air, Mei Yue released a long deep sigh.

"Ahhh~" soon Mei Yue let out another deep sigh as he felt a cooling sensation enter his mind, and felt everything around him become clearer.

Looking around the pagoda he noticed dust particles he hadn't noticed before.

"This feels so weird..." Mei Yue mumbled as he noticed things he didn't before.

It felt as if the world he was seeing before and the world he was seeing now were night and day.

Mei Yue quickly calmed his mind before sorting through and filtering through all the new information he got from the Ancient Alchemy God's Memories.

Mei Yue was slightly surprised as he went through the memories in his mind.

There was not only information about how to refine the pills but also knowledge of all kinds of medicinal herbs, fruits, flowers, and elixirs.

Mei Yue looked toward the corner of the pagoda and saw that the black leaves he stored from the ravine where his fate changed were in fact mind calming leaves.

Their function through their name was clear, it helped soothe one's mind. The way to ingest it and get the most optimal effects were to use the leaves to make tea.

Calming tea is what it was called, and due to it being a rare leaf, there were many iterations of teas trying to mimic calming tea though none of them could reach the euphoria one felt when drinking it. Although it isn't the best tea on the market it is still considered somewhat of a delicacy.

Refocusing his attention on the memories, there was also the experience of the alchemy god he gained.

Ancient Alchemy God was a befitting name indeed as there were so much knowledge and information as well as experiences of the alchemy god in those memories. What was more surprising was that so much knowledge and information that he got were only one-third of those memories. The rest of the two-thirds of those memories were still locked in his mind, and he couldn't access them just yet.

Mei Yue knew that he was still not strong enough. He was simply not qualified to merge with those memories right now as they continued even more deep and complex knowledge in them. It would simply be unfair to the Alchemy God if he learned everything in one go, while the alchemy god spent a lifetime obtaining this information and experience. If he wanted to merge with those memories then he needed to have a certain amount of strength.

Though that part of the information was hidden from him also he could gain the rest in the next breakthrough or not.

Though in the memories that Mei Yue was able to see through, he gained new information regarding the cultivation stages above the Heavenly Spirit Realm.

In the past, Mei Yue only knew that an expert of the Heavenly Spirit Realm was the strongest in the Myriad Dragon Country but now he knows that there were two stages above the Heavenly Spirit Realm, the Sovereign Spirit Realm, and the Divine Spirit Realm.

So now there were seven cultivation realms.

Elementary Spirit Realm

Profound Spirit Realm

True Spirit Realm

Earth Spirit Realm

Heavenly Spirit Realm

Sovereign Spirit Realm

Divine Spirit Realm.

Though the thing that caught his mind and made his body shake to its very core was what he gained was only one-third of the memories, then what about the other two-thirds would they also contain more cultivation stages above Divine Spirit Realm?

His reasoning for this was with all the knowledge and experience he integrated with it was only enough to make a pill and elixirs that Divine Spirit Realm experts could consume.

Meaning his cap right now was up to the Divine Spirit Realm, but with a lot more memories that cap would increase meaning so would cultivation realms.

It made him shake with excitement, before calming down.

There was no point in him being excited when he was still so far away, as he realized that he was still a frog looking at the sky from the bottom of the well.

A simple lone star in an ever-expanding sky.
