Mei Yue attracted quite a few people's attention crossing the city gates but thankfully that's all there was as he wouldn't know how to handle some guy hitting on him.
After walking past the city gates Mei Yue continued walking under the stares of passersby, after 15 minutes Mei Yue found himself in front of a large building that was seemingly very busy.
Falling Sky Pavilion
The luxurious building was beautifully decorated, and it occupied the best area of Red Star City.
With just a look, one can tell that it was not a business under any normal power.
Sighing Mei Yue entire the establishment.
'The Falling Sky Pavilion is a business under a formidable power in the Myriad Dragon Country, and there are branches in every city under the Myriad Dragon Country. Besides gathering the treasure, Falling Sky Pavilion sold many treasures as well.' Mei Yue tried remembering everything about the Pavillion.
"Excuse me, miss is there anything I can help you with?"
Coming out of his thoughts Mei Yue looked to the person who just spoke who happened to be an attendant of the pavilion, who revealed a professional smile.
Mei Yue felt like hitting the attendant but kept his cool, "I want to sell a Grade Three Magical Beast."
Mei Yue's voice has always been a bit feminine and it didn't change.
"Follow me miss." The attendant turned around and walked towards a counter.
Mei Yue sighed but followed him.
Arriving at the counter Mei Yue saw a middle-aged man standing at the counter.
"Miss, what are you selling?" The man asked with an expressionless face.
Mei Yue sighed with relief, seeing his expressionless face.
He didn't answer him as he used his spiritual sense to get a scope of the middle-aged man's cultivation.
'Sixth stage Profound Spirit Realm.' Mei Yue thought solemnly as he found out the man's cultivation.
"A corpse of grade three magical beast." Mei Yue followed suit as his tone was emotionless.
The middle-aged man became stunned as he heard Mei Yue, "Miss, what type of grade three magical beast are you selling?"
'Shit I didn't think this through...' Mei Yue Sighed with regret as he brought out the Frost Wolf's body and head.
Thankfully Mei Yue wasn't too naive not to wear a ring on his finger, wearing a simple normal ring.
'Spatial ring' the middle-aged man became more shocked as he looked at the ring on Mei Yue's dainty hands.
Thankfully Mei Yue thought this far ahead because the middle-aged man thought Mei Yue had a spatial ring.
"Guest, this corpse of the Frost Wolf doesn't have any beast core and since it is a third-grade magical beast, we will give you a hundred and fifty thousand silver coins. Is that alright esteemed guest?" The middle-aged man said and looked at Mei Yue, this time his tone was a bit more respected.
Mei Yue simply nodded in response.
"Here is the hundred thousand silver. Guest is there any other thing, you need our help with." The middle-aged man said while placing the bag on the counter.
"Is there anything else I can help you with, esteemed guest?"
"No, thank you" Mei Yue declined and left the pavilion.
After leaving the Falling Feather Pavilion, Mei Yue found an inn, booked a room and lied down on the bed, and began to think about everything that has happened in the past five days.
He had gone from having a sect to becoming homeless, from having a dantain to becoming crippled, a life and death situation.
A crown, a fallen angel, a complete physical change, a new element, wings to fly.
Mei Yue was sure if he could write a book about this he would be crazy rich for selling a fantasy book as no one would believe him.
He continued to be overwhelmed by his thoughts but no matter how much he tried Mei Yue couldn't fall asleep nor did he feel tired eventually the night passed.
After taking a long bath and taking in his new appearance once more he walked out of the inn and into a restaurant.
His arrival caused people to look at him, some contained lust.
Ignoring everyone he walked to a corner table and sat down.
Eventually, everyone went back to minding their own business.
"Give me your best meat dish and some juice." Mei Yue said to the waiter.
As he waited for his food Mei Yue figured it would a good idea to listen to any new news considering he was gone for quite some time.
"Did you hear!? The five great sects of Monarch City are holding a competition and the top hundred will be chosen to enter the five great sects and the top ten will be given the right to choose the sect they wanted to enter?" A young man said to his companion as he drank some beer.
"Of course I know, only twenty-five days are left now before the competition will officially start. And if people want to participate in this competition, they need to first register for this competition, before it closes just a day before it starts." his companion who was another man responded.
"Hey, a friend I haven't heard of this competition, what's it about?" Suddenly someone else from the table next to them interrupted in the two companions' conversation.
"Friend you haven't heard that's surprising, as we said before the five great sects of Monarch City are holding a competition to recruit talented youths under the age of sixteen, that are at the Eighth stage of Elementary Spirit Realm at the very minimum, unfortunately, we are too old to enter." One of the two answered the new guy's question.
The three guys continued to talk but at this point, Mie Yue stopped listening, while a deep glint entered his eyes.
'A competition organized by the five great sects where the top hundred will enter the sect and the top ten will be given the right to choose the sect they wanted to enter. Should I enter this... no, but I also need a powerful backer so I might have to just don't want to...' Mei Yue thought as he released a deep mental sigh.
He also thought of a few more choices to gain a powerful backer but they contained too many variables to rely on.
"This sucks..." Mei Yue mumbled.
He didn't know how many times he's sighed in the last two days.
