"Tom, a wolf attacked them!" Sofia informed as she heard Rose screaming in terror.
"Sofia, go get the others, alright? I will see if I can help them now; you can't be here. You could have a seizure, and no one will be around to help you," Tom explained as he took off and went into the woods and allowed Rose's screams.
"But...," she sighed and went after Tom.
This night wasn't supposed to end like this; Sofia needed to help them. Max could be bleeding out, and even if she was scared of blood, she had to find a way to help him. She tried her best to keep up, and when she saw the three of them, Sofia's heart dropped. Max was covered in blood and scratch marks. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she saw Tom trying to stop the bleeding. He took off his shirt and started ripping it apart to make bandages.
"It happened so fast! It didn't even look like a wolf, more like a person than anything else! He couldn't even fire off a single shot!" Rose cried.
A loud howl rang in their ears, and Tom carefully picked Max. Blood dripped on the ground, and Max was drifting in and out of concusses. Tom quickly turned and saw Sofia, turning as pale as a ghost.
"Sofia, I told you to run," Tom said as Sofia took off her belt and put it around Max's leg.
She tightened it up as right as she could to stop the bleeding from getting worse. Sofia whipped the blood on her shirt.
"If anything, I smell like blood now, so they will go after me and not you guys. I might have a seizure at any moment, so that I will be the perfect scapegoat," Sofia informed, making Tom look at her, shocked.
"Sofia, no!" Tom growled.
"I have an unpredictable condition, Tom! How do you think the word scapegoat became part of the dictionary?! A specific goat type would freeze and fall to the ground while the sheep got away if they got attacked. Max needs help and won't get any if that thing comes back. There is a junkyard like six miles away from the camp; I saw it in the office on a map that was hanging on the wall. Go there to get that arm thing and get Max out. Those bites will get infected, and he will bleed out if nothing is done soon," she informed as two howls echoed in the night, and by the sound of it, they were getting closer to them.
"Let's stop fighting and hurry up and leave before that thing comes back with a friend!" Rose said as they headed back to the cabin.
"Casey, you selfish bitch come out now and help us find Sofia!" Roy yelled.
"Roy, stop it! She wouldn't come out even if the place were on fire!" Stacey said as she got a gun and packed a lot of medical supplies.
"I hope they will be okay," Jacob said as he started packing flashlights.
"Roy! Jacob help!" Tom yelled, making the others stop what they are doing.
"Oh no, Sofia!" Roy panicked as he ran outside to see Tom carrying Maxwell in his arms.
"Oh my God, Max!" Roy gasped.
"Something attacked us while we were looking for Sofia; it didn't even give him a chance to fire a shot! It wasn't a wolf. It was something bigger than a fucking wolf! It even stood on its back legs like a person!" Rose yelled as the howling continued.
Jacob, clear the table now! Stacey, we need those medical supplies now. Max is hurt bad!" Roy called out.
"What?! What the hell happened out there?" Stacy asked as Tom brought Maxwell inside, making Stacey gasp in shock and horror.
"My god, what did this to him?!" Jacob asked.
Casey got out of the room; she locked herself in and started to record what was going on as Sofia wrapped the bandage around Roses's arm. Roy and Tom were bandaging and cleaning Maxwell's wounds as best they could. The clothes they were using were turning red with blood, and they were running out of cleaning supplies quickly. Rose looked to see her recording everything like it was a game, but this wasn't a game. This was real life, and Maxwell might die because of that thing that attacked him.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?! Put that away right now!" Rose yelled, making everyone look at her.
"Seriously?!" Jacob asked, taking her phone from her and then throwing it against the wall, breaking it.
"What the fuck?! That was my phone!" Casey yelled.
"A, you are a monster for recording this! I know we need evidence so we can tell the police what happened, but Max is bleeding a lot, and he might bleed out on this very table. Instead of helping him, you are recording what may be his last hour of being alive for views on your bull shit channel!" Jacob explained angrily.
"I have over twenty thousand followers on my blog, thank you, and on top of that, I would never put this on my channel. This isn't good, and we could go to jail for fucking murder, and I'm too pretty to go to jail, you know!" she informed, making Sofia roll her eyes at her comment.
"No one is too pretty or handsome to go to jail, but you wouldn't last in prison at all. You would probably die in the first three hours because of your big fat mouth!" Sofia informed.
"Excuse me, but I am trying to help! I'm trying to make sure no one goes to fucking prison! We need a plan, and we need it now, so unless you have a better one than I have, I suggest I do what I did before you broke my phone!" she growled.
"Sofia had an idea; there is a junkyard not too far from here. If we get there, then we can fix that car and get Max to a hospital as well as Rose," Tom informed.
"With whatever attacked them still out there?! Max couldn't even fire a shot at the thing!" Stacy informed.
"Now they also have his sent to. Whatever that thing might come back and kill him, but if we take him with us, he might as well be dead. Some of us need to stay behind and help keep him alive," Roy informed.
"I can do that... plus, with my seizures, if I get too stressed, I'll have one," Sofia informed.
"Sofia, I won't let you sacrifice yourself," Tom informed.
"Well, you will have to. I'm out of my medication Tom; it's just a matter of time before I have one. I'm already stressed out, and nothing here will help me if it's terrible enough for me to need my rescue medication," she informed, making them look at her.
"Great, play it up, Sofia; you want to be a hero, and that is all it is. You play the victim role well," Casey informed sarcastically.
"You might think it's fake up; it's not! I also know how to be a vet, so I can use that and help him. There isn't a lot of stuff here, but it's all we got," she sighed.
"Okay, me, Roy, tom go to the junk hard. Jacob and the rest will stay here," Stacey informed.
"I'm sorry, who made you boss?!" Casey asked.
"You don't know anything about cars, and if there are more of you here, then the safer you all will be," Stacey informed.
"Sounds good to me," Roy informed.
"Me too; I will try to keep Sofia calm, and hopefully, she won't have a seizure," Jacob said as Tom looked at her worried.
This was the best chance of getting everyone out of this place alive. Rose was in rough shape, and she even seemed traumatized so much that she couldn't even talk anymore. This was right out of a horror movie; maybe they would be able to find something here around the camp that could help them. But there was a significant chance that whatever hurt them would come back and try to kill them. At least they will have a fin for each team.
