Grief has a way of reminding me about the people who I could no longer be with. Seven had me thinking like that for the rest of the day.
When evening came, Ashiro arrived. He had a fresh haircut and was seemingly in a good mood.
I wasn't the only one who took notice. The boys crowded over him, patting him on the shoulders. It was actually quite nice to see Ashiro getting along with Jace and Ryan.
That was perhaps a boy thing. These guys spent one night together on a mission; now, they were like brothers.
I sat comfortably in the corner, waiting for Seven to begin the meeting in a small conference room he had set up inside his house.
There were pictures on display on a whiteboard in front of us. Seven has yet to grace us with his presence but sent a message to meet him here by the afternoon.
"Did you have a great time with your family?" Ryan asked Ashiro, who nodded vigorously.
