Ryan was not to be joked around. He knew what he was doing and got us balloons, several beer cans, and soda. He also made sure to buy Oreos, chips, and lemons.
By the time I finished showering and changing into my sweatpants and a black shirt, Jace was already helping Ryan unpack the goods he had bought.
I raised an apprehensive brow at Jace, testing if he was still mad at me. When he smirked, I felt a weight getting off my shoulders. He was such a baby.
A clingy baby.
Ryan caught my gaze and smiled, making some shooing motion to me and Jace.
"You get your work done. I will finish preparing by the time you both finish working too."
I opened my mouth, wanting to say something. But I clamped my mouth shut and veered away from the kitchen.
I secured my phone and went back to the workroom. I tried not to think about what Jace and I had been doing here last night before we cleaned up and parted ways to sleep in our rooms.
