Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 The prince?

"So Sora, what do you want to do today?"

"Sora has work today so he can't go with you. Personally I want to stay in because it's so hot, the air conditioning is just too hard to separate from." In the living room the 3 were sitting down Sora was dressed for his job but it only took him 10 minutes to get there from his house so he was waiting until 2:10 to leave. He was reading the cookbook he bought yesterday. Sora looked up from his book and stared at Elias blankly and in a flat tone spoke.

"Like Elsie said, I'm going to work. Even if I didn't have work I wouldn't want to go with you." Sora was sure he would take him to pick up some girls.

" Well I guess I'll go explore. Elsie, you shouldn't be lazy either." Elias had given up and decided to just go see around if there was anything interesting. He got up and went to the bathroom and Sora put on his outdoor shoes and left the residence.

"Hey Hey! Guess what!" In a food court sat three beautiful girls. One with blonde hair and green eyes, the other with green hair and blue eyes and the final one with brown hair and brown eyes, were all sitting down talking when the green haired girl spoke loudly.

"Hmmm? What is it?" The brown-haired girl or Kaori spoke up. She looked at her friend questionly.

"Miyu met this really really handsome boy yesterday!" Miyu spoke very excitedly.

"Another boy? Isn't this your 8th one this week?" Emi said, eating the hamburger she got. She hated the taste. A certain white hair boy ruined her taste buds.

"Miyu is a virgin I'll have you know!! Miyu was approached by this foreigner and he came and saved Miyu!!"(just so it doesn't cause confusion she's speaking in third person.)

"Miyu thinks he's the most handsome boy Miyu has ever seen!!"

"You're really excited aren't you?" Kaori said, looking exasperated. "So what did he look like?" Kaori continued.

"He sort of had a feminine face but he had somewhat boyish looks as well!" Miyu was recounting the boy she saw. Emi also listens curiously while eating her burger.

"Yeah, Miyu thinks he was also a foreigner!! He had White hair, a blue and purple eye color with a beauty mark underneath his left eye!! Miyu remembers it very clearly." Miyu said while reminiscing about the boy. Emi spit out the drink she was spitting the moment she heard the direction. Emi immediately figured out who she was talking about but she kept quiet and didn't say anything and said that a bug landed on her and she and kaori listened to miyu explain how handsome the boy is.

"Miyu still thinks he's the most handsome ever. Miyu thinks he surpasses every boy mi.... THERE HE IS!!!!!" Miyu was talking until she saw the boy in question walking in the mall. Kaori and Emi also looked to where she was pointing and saw him as well.

"So. You're telling me you forgot to tell us that we were closed for today because of a health inspection?"

"Y-Yeah. My bad."

"Stupid boss!" In the employee workroom of the restaurant Sorata worked out, they were all standing while his boss was sitting down. The one who yelled was a girl in college. She was very much like a delinquent but she was generally misunderstood and was just socially inept she was actually very kind and liked children. She yelled at her boss and stormed out. She had missed one of her classes that helped her in her studies because she thought she had work and couldn't make it. If it was any other part-time job she would just not show up and say she couldn't make it but this job wasn't like that and she got paid a lot more than the average part time job. It'd help her family since they wouldn't have to pay for her college tuition as most of the other workers here had the same thought as her.

"Hahhhhh. Well whatever." Sorata really didn't mind he had nothing anyway that day and this just frees up his schedule. His other co-workers left as well so he decided to leave. He walked around and headed back to the mall. He didn't have Elsie or Elias here but he really needed new clothes, but before he did that he decided to go to the bookstore. He walked in and saw some students studying and some reading regular books. He didn't see the girl who was at the checkout counter last time though. He walked through the aisles and looked at the books. He found one that interested him, it was about a female main character who loved a woman but it was revealed that the one she loved wasn't a woman but a man disguised as a woman. It was a web of misunderstandings but the female mc and her love interest fought through the evil forces and lived happily ever after.

"Do you like that kind of book?" A feminine yet boyish voice said. Sorata didn't see anyone around him when he was looking at the book so he assumed it was him that this person was talking to. He looked up and saw a beautiful girl? She had black hair that extended down to her neck that looked like dark blue hair, with dark blue eyes.

"No. I tend to read anything that interests me and this caught my eye." Sora said. He kept a poker face with an emotionless tone. Normally one would be put off and leave but the girl didn't.

"Hmm. It's an okay book. It's full of cliches. Oh I should've introduced myself. My name is Aya Yamamoto." The handsome girl gave out her name while also giving a handsome blinding smile that Sora almost looked away. That's how bright it was.

"I see. Well it sounds interesting,my name is Sorata Suzuki since you gave out your name Yamamoto-San it's only proper to give mine." Sora kept his tone and expression the same. The girl still wasn't put off by this and kept talking. Apparently the girl herself didn't really like books, she was more sporty but she did enjoy reading romance novels.

"My favorite is about a story of a girl who was a sheltered princess, and a hero came to save her. It's very cliche and a typical story but when I was young this book always had me enamored." The girl said with a reminiscing smile. Sora kept his attitude the same and still talked to the girl but that was when something happened.

"Ow!" A voice could be heard on the other side of the bookshelves and the large book came out of its place. Its direction was right toward Sora's head. Sora was about to react until Aya quickly approached and immediately grabbed the book before it could hit Sora. Sora was a little bit away from her but now their height difference clearly showed she wasn't much bigger than him but it was clear she was taller.

"Are you okay?"

"…Oh yeah I'm fine. thank you."

"I see that's good." Aya flashed a smile. She smiled like how a hero would after they save the main heroine. Even her actions were cool, she had her hand around soras waist when she got the book. Sora was a little bit stunned by her actions which were like a handsome protagonist in a novel but still made out a reply.

"I see someone must've hit the bookshelf and caused a book to fall." Aya said whilst putting the book back in its rightful place. She flashed sora one more handsome smile before saying

"Well, I've got to head home now since I have my homework to finish since I haven't done it yet,but it was nice talking to you Suzuki-san."

"Yeah nice talking to you too." Sora Replied in his usual emotionless tone. Aya smiled and then walked out the door. Sora went to the checkout counter and the old lady there asked for the money and he paid and left.

"Hmm. Even now you still don't remember me. Even though we went to the same middle school." Aya who had left and gone to her house was now in her room muttering this while doing her homework.

"Who would've thought we'd go to the same high school. Even though I was moving to be closer to my family I'd get to be in the high school you went to and you still don't know or remember me." She smiled bitterly thinking back on a certain boy.

Kasai middle school. That was the middle school Sora went to. Aya had also gone to this school and was similarly as popular as sora was.

"Wow! Aya-San you're way too handsome!"

"Yeah and you're cool as well!"

"Yeah she's very cool especially when she smiles."

"She's kind to everyone as well."

A group of girls were crowding a taller girl. The girls were maybe 13 or 14 as they wore a gym uniform and even boys were agreeing with her. The girl in question aya merely smiled at them and thanked them. The gym class continued and so did the school day. Aya had to go check out a book and went to the school library. She got her book and went to the checkout counter. There she met him when he was on library duty.

"Is this all?" The boy took her book and scanned it while saying so in an emotionless tone.

"Yes, that'll be all thanks." Aya said, smiling, the boy didn't change his expression and went back to reading his book after he was done. Aya left the library and she was always puzzled by him. Sorata Suzuki or as he was given the cringy nickname that they also gave one similar to that of Aya's. The ice cold prince. Sorata was expressionless and his tone was emotionless. Though that didn't stop others from admiring him. He was both handsome and beautiful and he got confessions from boys and girls, though he rejected them all coldly. There he got his nickname "the ice cold prince." His face was rather androgynous sporting feminine and boyish charm so both genders confessed to him redgardeless. If you listen closely you could hear in the boys bathroom some boys saying "shit. I don't even care if he's a guy anymore." Or "damn I wish he would step on me."

Needless to say they were perverts. Now there was another person called prince in this school and that was Aya. "The sweet prince" was what the school students had called Aya. Aya herself felt troubled by the name but she was laid back and didn't really mind. She also caused some of it by saving girls from pick up artists or princesses carrying them when one of them got injured. Like sora both genders liked her very much and she was just as popular. Aya had got multiple confessions just like sora but not as much. While aya was popular, most liked her as a friend due to her cool and laid back personality. While Sora gave off the feeling of a cold and asocial person it was somewhat mysterious but it didn't stop them from admiring his good looks. His expression never changed no matter where he was and was always just an expressionless face.

Someone had started a rumor that if you saw the ice cold prince smile then you will be smiled upon by the gods or that you'll have a lifetime of happiness. This led to multiple students trying to get Sora to smile but of course none were able to. Aya thought this was rather rude and disrespectful but when she tried to bring it up to Sora she got an indifferent response.

"I don't really care. It's just a rumor, nothing special." Sora had said this when she brought it up to him in class. He had an emotionless tone as if he wasn't even paying attention to Aya. Aya couldn't understand him. She put on this act to be more friendly, she cared what others thought of her and wanted to be friends with her classmates. Yet Sora had talked to her multiple times and still didn't even know who she was. She could never be like him who was so uncaring and indifferent to everything around him. She spent her entire middle school years trying to be Friends with him and yet to no avail. She didn't know that the reason Sora was like this was due to his parents death, back In his elementary school he was a happy child making friends with everyone but the death caused him to lose all that happiness.

' Even if you wore that wig, I still remember your name.' She thought. She smiled somewhat happily because after all this time she got to talk to him again.

"Aya-chan it's time for dinner." Aya's mother called out. Aya put down her pencil and walked down to the dining room. Her house was fairly big, not like the average house you could find. It was pretty obvious her family was well off.

"Beef and potato stew? It smells great mom." Aya said, putting some plates down on the table.

"You know I could teach you Aya-Chan. You don't know how to cook. How will you be a proper wife? I know you were always very tomboyish but you should learn to cook." Aya's mother said.

"Even if I tried it's not something I'm good at. Remember last time I made it too spicy. You and dad almost called an ambulance because of it." She replied to her mother. It wasn't the first time her mother had tried to teach her to cook. That day was a bad one, her father had drunk a whole gallon of milk and he still felt like his mouth was on fire.

"Well it doesn't matter for now if you get a husband you're gonna need to learn to cook. It's good for your children to eat home cooked meals rather than takeout."

"Yeah okay mom." Aya said troubled by her mother. Her mother was very old fashioned. In fact her father was the one telling her that she could get an office job instead of being a housewife and Aya wanted to become a doctor but her mother just wanted her to be a housewife.

She wanted to become a doctor because her father was one but he didn't come home often, which was probably the reason her mother wanted her to be a housewife since her husband is busy working. She knew her mother had good intentions but she was still troubled.

'Though the one I'm interested in seems to be an excellent cook.' Aya thought. Back in middle school she had a cooking class with Sora. He was the best cook in the class, whatever he made always smelled good whether it was baking or cooking regular food. He had allowed his class to get some of his food since he didn't seem like wanted to eat it and all of them always finished it quickly. His cookies were delicious, his curry was delicious, and his omurice was perfect.

'I would really like to eat the onigiri he made that time.' Aya thought while eating her mothers stew with rice on the side.

'That girl Yamamoto-San was weird. Oh well it's time to go the clothi—

"There he iss!!!!!!!" Sora's thoughts were cut off by a loud scream. He looked towards the direction only to see Miyu pointing at him with Emi and Kaori with her as well.

'This isn't going to go well is it?' Sora thought.
