"You are the one I care about," Xavier replied flatly. "I hate to see you make the wrong decision just because you feel hurt."
Their eyes locked and Elleard knew his brother was sincere. His baby brother was four years younger than him, but now that they were in their twenties, they looked like they were of the same age, and perhaps, Xavier actually looked older than him.
Xavier must have endured so much for the four years that Elleard was in a coma and took all the burden to keep their family together. That's what made him look older than Elleard now. He was also very serious and reclusive.
"You have never been in love, so you don't know what I felt," Elleard said bitterly. This was the first time he and Xavier talked about Lisa and what it meant to Elleard when she left him in the cold.
