"Can we give our marriage a chance?" Elleard asked.
Elena didn't know what to say. When she decided to ask for a divorce from Elleard, in her mind, things would be easy. They had this conversation before her trip with Shiro and she just needed time to think about what she wanted.
Now that she knew that she wanted out, Elleard wouldn't let her.
"Do you not want to give us a chance?" Elleard looked at Elena deeply.
Elena was silent. She lowered her face and looked at her hands in Elleard's big hands on his lap.
"Tell me what should I do to make you reconsider?" Elleard asked again.
"I..."
What should she say? This was unexpected to Elena. Her heart was conflicted. Elleard admitted to being confused and didn't know what he wanted. This was something that she never thought he would acknowledge.
If Elleard truly changed, shouldn't Elena give him a chance?
