Jenny's eyes narrowed when Gavin averted his gaze from her and chuckled. "She must have missed to tell you about me. I am her childhood friend" he justified.
Jenny found Gavin's words a little unconvincing, but then she remembered she knew nothing about Bianca's childhood. She met her when they were studying medicine together.
From being roommates to best friends and then working in the same hospital, Jenny had been with Bianca. But never once did she find herself speaking about her family or her childhood.
'So maybe he is telling the truth' she thought and quickly withdrew her suspicion about him.
"I see.." she finally gave him an assuring response, that calmed him down.
Gavin didn't want to lie but knowing the severity of exposing his identity behind searching for Bianca would land him into big trouble.
Sitting silently on their seats, the two finished drinking their respective coffees and soon decided to leave.
