As we heard the music coming from the tuck shop we knew the party as began so we all walked inside, The interior was captivating from the entrance ushering to the red carpet treatment which we were taken pictures individually and in groups we had reserved tables which our names were tagged to all thanks to Sera sure she was the only one who could give us that treatment. The party started with a toast, A wine was passed across us all while we fill our cups then the toast was done by one of the worker in the shop she was looking so beautiful in her black dress, After which the owner of the tuck shop was invited Sir John was looking so young in the blue colour suit he wore, He first thank us all for attending next he invited the new co-owners of the truck shop while they introduced themselves a card was given to us all on the reserved seat some new blend of smoothie were written down which we had to place an order from a blend, Among the blends in the order are straw-berry smoothie,Tropical oatmeal smoothie, mango,strawberry and pineapple smoothie and some other blends. I was totally confused on which blend to have because all looked new.
I ordered a mango,strawberry and pineapple smoothie, same with Sera, while the rest ordered for another blend. We chose the right blend because it was well blended even when others had a taste. They also said the same thing.
Next their new head baker was invited and guess who that person was Sera. Yes she was invited to give her speech as she was called Gabriel hugged her tight. I noticed the joy and excitement all over their both faces. As she walked to the podium she was even looking more pretty.
"Good day everyone" she said with this smile "A once more thanks for honouring our invite, I will say I'm grateful for this position I was given I want to thank sir John for his support and acceptance from the first encounter I had with him and also for giving me this huge position I promise to never left him down and to my friends'' she said with her face straight to us smiling boldly. Thanks for always assisting even when I drag you all into baking which you had no idea about"
As she said that we all laughed thank God you know we are always dragged into banking.
"And also thanks to all the workers and new co-owners of this cafeteria. She said walking down.
As she walked towards us we all congratulated and hugged her. The tuck shop's brand name was unveiled to us all to see because the billboard adjacent to the tuck shop was covered and the bill post by the roof was also covered. The unveiling was done on the projection and the brand name was cool "THE DELIGHT" It fits the new renovation of the place with the new features the new name was perfect for it. The cookie Sera baked was shared. I never knew it was this creamy you get the belief that what one has one doesn't treasure, No wonder Sera was given the head baker she really deserved that position and it was well given to her.
Noah's troupe performed at the party but Noah wasn't among them. That was strange. He was always with them or he stood aside by the stage waiting while they round up. It seems it was different because a guy did the round up and then they all left the stage.
"Noah did not perform with his troupe. What happened? Gabriella asked
" I just noticed it also which is strange, I will try calling him after the party" I said.
Next was group pictures of the workers of "THE DELIGHT '' after which the party ended. We were still seated waiting for Sera who was still taking pictures with some of her fellow workers. As she was done walking towards us I could see that satisfactory smile all over her face.
"Here come the lady of the hour" Gabriel said walking to meet her as they hugged then he pecked her on the forehead.
"Congrats girl " I said smiling.
" Thanks my ladies'" she said, bowing to me in greeting.
" My feet hurt. I can't wait to get off this heel," Sera said, sitting down.
"Can we leave now? Gabriel asked.
"Yhh we can, I won't forgive Kelvin for missing out on the party"Sera said with an unhappy look.
"He will surely have reasons for missing the party"Gabriel replied, standing with the key to the car in his left hand.
He drove to the entrance of "The DELIGHT" then we entered the car and drove to our lodge first seems it was closer than Sera's own we waved at them as we walked into the lodge I was tired but happy I attended the party because I won't have forgiven myself if I had missed it for anything. Immediately I got in before pulling my dress I tried calling Noah but it kept ringing but no response so I stopped.
I was even more worried when his phone rang but no reply. I kept thinking who I could call to check up on him. I thought of Ethan but for a second though I decided to wait a bit to try later before night falls.
