As We were walking into the class to be seated, we sat in an empty row seat.
"You are welcome in Paris, Did you enjoy the appetiser you ordered? Sera asked.
Keeping my backpack on the desk "Yes, especially the smoothie, it was well blended and fruity".Gabriella asked with excitement, ``Don't worry you guys have earned our patronage.
"Am so elated to hear that, we await your consistent patronage. Sera replied.
"What does she sell? Gabriel asked.
"She works for the tuck shop. Paris placed an order for smoothie and string cheese and guess what? Their smoothie is literally the best I had tasted since I came to college,it's well blended and fruity. You should try it, `` Gabriella said.
As we were talking pro Jack entered the class and the class was totally silent afterwards.
"Good morning class" he said with a beam, "Hope your weekend was pleasant? Pro Jack asked. Our last class was for the practical we did last week. We will be having a practical assessment soon. Is there anyone who just resumed or anyone whose name was omitted in the practical list posted? He asked checking to know if any hands were up.some hands were up.
"I can see some hands up, Just meet with Paris" checking for me in the crowd " where is Paris? He asked.
I'm here sir" I replied standing up"
"You all can meet with her" pointing to me "In order to have your names written down and also added to the practical list, Am i well understood? Pro Jack asked.
They all replied "Yes sir"
Out of all of them, I was able to identify Kelvin's voice from the rest. He was sitting close to me but I don't think that's the reason.
"We learnt on the various separation techniques the last time we will continue for where we stopped but on a theoretical level.
The projector came up and the word "CHROMATOGRAPHY" appeared.
"Chromatography is a process of separating components of a mixture, prof jack defined as we jot some points down. And to get this started, the mixture has to be dissolved first called the ' 'mobile phase" he says pointing to a pictorial diagram on the screen, "which carries it through a second substance called the stationary '' he said pointing to the last phase of the separation techniques.
Evaporation was explained in details like chromatography also with a pictorial diagram on the screen.Pro Jack assigned tasks to us to draw a well explained diagram to explain chromatography and evaporation.
"Do any of you have any questions? He asked to check round the class, in absence of any question we will be meeting next week, remember to prepare for the practical assessment and also the assigned task which will be a helping guide for you all. Have a pleasant day ahead pro Jack said leaving the class.
As prof left the class Kelvin came to put his name in the practical list as he left back to his seat, a guy and a girl came to write their names also but the girl's face was look a bit familiar but I can't really recall where I knew her from as she was writing her name Gabriella suddenly tapped me."Paris can't you remember this girl? she asked, pointing at her .
"I don't" I whispered
"Really? she replied.
"Am I supposed to remember her but her face looks familiar?" I replied.
"You remembered last week when a girl was staring at you in the lodge's pavilion? Gabriella asked.
"Yes I remember, was she the one? I asked, pointing to her as she left.
"Yes she is," Paris replied.
"That means she knows me," I said surprised.
"I think so," Gabriella replied.
"With time I will get to know her, it seems I will be adding her name to my practical group so i can know her well" I suggested tagging her name.
"Do you think that's a good suggestion? Gabriella asked with this funny look on her face.
"I don't know but trying won't do any harm" I replied.
" Ladies, can we get smoothies from the tuck shop?" Gabrel asked.I'm longing for a drink," he said.
"What's the opening hours of the tuck shop?" Gabriella asked Sera who was about to leave the class.
We open very early although I'm not working today" Sera replied.
"You work only on weekends? Gabriel asked.
"Yes," she replied.
"We will be patronizing you guys today, '' Gabriel said with a smile.
" Awwnnn thanks" she replied. Let's go together so I can show the tuck owner their new customers which they must treat with love" Sera said with a deep smile.
