Martin thought for a moment, "I can't remember."
Luke took out a photo of Nancy's car, "Have you seen this car before?"
"No," the two said in unison.
The two were then shown items stolen from Nancy's house, but they still didn't recognize them.
Luke was getting frustrated. The two households had a huge financial gap and were not in the same social class. Logically, they shouldn't have had any interaction.
No relevant clues were found during the questioning.
After taking their statements, Luke escorted the two out of the office.
Just as he returned to his seat, Matthew exclaimed, "Guys, I've found a major clue."
Vincent, the deputy chief, asked, "What major clue?"
Matthew cocked his head, "Guess?"
The deputy chief chuckled, "Next time you try to keep us in suspense, I'll come over and kick your butt."
