OPERATION GERONIMO
(KILLING OF OSAMA BIN LADEN)
The next day McRaven and his Seals left the United States for Afghanistan where they spent about two weeks practicing the operation they were going to perform.
The squad arrived at the Bagram camp in Afghanistan and there was a model house built alike bin ladens house and the Seals team did enough exercises on how to carry out the exercise.
On the 29th, President Obama Called Commander McRaven to ask him about the progress of the preparations.
He also asked him if he had at least one doubt about the success of the operation and if he had any doubts then the operation would be postponed. McRaven replied that his young mens were ready for the operation.
Obama gave them final permission to carry out the operation the following day, April 30.
The next day Obama was informed that the operation had been postponed for one day due to unfriendly weather and would instead take place the next day on the 1st.
That evening Obama called McRaven again to wish him well and his Seals commanders and thanked them for their commitment to their Nation.
On May 1, members of the national security committee gathered in a special room of the United States (situation room) to monitor the operation via a television screen showing live footage of a drone. of that operation.
At midnight About 79 SEAL Commandos flew military helicopters from the Bagram military camp to the Jalalabad border area.
When they got there they shared. About 24 commandos, including a Belgian Malinois dog named Cairo, boarded two Black Hawk helicopters that had been upgraded to prevent the appearance of the enemy radar and silence.
The remaining commandos marched into large Chinook-type military bases.
The commanders who boarded the Black Hawk warships were the ones who were given the task of raiding Bin Laden's residence.
Some of the commandos who boarded the large Chinook battleships will stay a few miles from the scene if any of their colleagues need further assistance.
After this division the journey to Bin Laden's secret residence began.
After reaching Bin Laden's residence one Chopa landed in front of the building and the other landed at the top and the commandos descended at high speed using a rope.
The helicopter landed in front of the building, the pilot put it down with a slight mistake and caused the helicopter's tail to hit the wall of the house and overturned on the ground but skillfully placed it straight and the commandos descended safely even though the helicopter was already damaged.
After all the commanders managed to get inside the fence they began to approach the main door of the house. Next to the main house there were a few rooms built for the guests and inside they appeared two men armed with AK-47 rifles and shot at the Seals commandos.
Before the men could do any harm the commanders of the Seals knocked them down with two bullets each. The two men were later identified as Abu Ahmed al-Kuwait and his brother Abrar.
Then the commanders entered the house. a young man was seen running up the stairs to the upper floor. And he was shot down. The young man also came to be known as Osama Bin Laden's eldest son.
After the boy was shot, the door to the upper room seemed to open and someone looked. The man quickly turned around and went back into the room but before he could close the door properly the commander Seals managed to jump and roll over into the room.
In an attempt to hide the man (Bin Laden) grabbed a woman in the room (his younger wife) and pushed her to the Seal command but the commander managed to avoid the woman and managed to fire a shot that hit Osama in the forehead.
Suddenly another commander entered the room and fired a shot that found Osama in the chest. Bin Laden fell to the ground and one commander fired another shot into his chest while he was lying on the ground. Immediately the soul of Osama Bin Laden left the body.
One commander issued a military wave call and contacted Commander McRaven who had remained at the Bagram camp. After receiving the call, the commander briefly told his commander "Geronimo".
