Lillian woke up about an hour later and the storm is done for now, they pack up all their things and start hiking to meet with the others. A little rain still sprinkled down on them while they hiked to the location Lillian pointed to on the map, she kept thinking back on one of her men that had the parasite.
" Carra the incubation that Kae gave us on the parasite doesn't make sense to me and I keep feeling like were being watched" Lillian said glancing back over her shoulder then looking ahead she seen the groups tent up ahead, Carras two bats landed beside her walking along with us.
" Lillian!" Rae said running out of the tent jumping into her arm and wrapping her legs around her waist tightly.
" I've missed you so much and I also want a kiss" Rae said while all the others came out from their tents, Lillian grips Raes chin with her fingers then kisses her. Kae scoffed looking away from them and Lillian flashed a sad smile toward her, setting Rae on her feet.
" Mal come over here" Lillian said while taking out her dagger causing the woman to halt her next step forward, then takes a step back away from her causing everyone to giggle.
" Get your ass over here so I can do a contract with you" Lillian said closing the distance between them slicing Mals hand she bounds four bats to her for protection.
" ok Rae and Kae your next" Lillian said repeating the process of four bats a piece letting the twins have eight in total of level 2 High grade bats and Mal has the same. Carras are Level 3 high grade bats, each other person in the group received one Level 2 high grade bat for them selves.
" later when I find out where you'll be transferred if I give you more to control...work with them and get the hang of it" Lillian said putting up a concealment formation around her and Mal.
" Have you seen anyone around or feel like your being watched" Lillian asked her while transferring another fifty bats over to Mal, then having the rest except for hers which were the 8 Level 3 high grades she sent here earlier to watch her friends. The ones she contracted to the group will stay with their masters as well.
" yes I know that they are around here" Mal said as her eyes flashed a grayish black then back to heir normal color.
" the parasite thing I feel was done before we started our journey, also when we start collecting all the familars on our list we will travel with Carra to the mer people's kingdom south of mine." Lillian said and Mal nodded her had in agreement with her, when Lillian was about to drop the formation Mal grabbed her hand.
" I see how Carra and Kae look at you, I know they are your mates and I want to know if your going to tell them about your arrangement." Mal said while Lillian pulls her hand away from her grip.
" not right now" Lillian hissed
" Lillian I'm your friend if something happens and you'll end up stuck with Maximus, it'll be bad for all of you" Mal said while pulling Lillian into a hug, she felt three sets of eyes throwing daggers her way and quickly pushes herself away from from Lillian.
They drop the formation and everyone packs up camp, they have the familiars near them and Lillian's is watching from different view points.
" How was the cave Carra did you find alot of interesting things inside" Kae asked while walking beside Mal and her sister, Carra gave her a wide smile to them and they all tracked ahead smiling at the fairy.
" we need to climb up this cliff " Rae said while pointing at a peak on the moutain, Mal looks at her men and grabs Kae and Rae in her arms using a wind spell they ascend up to the 50 ft cliff, the men was about to the same thing when Carra climbs on one of her bats back and flies her up making the men do a mental facepalm to their face.
" my girl has a good brain, now get your asses up there" Lillian said when she brought her own wings out that was similar to the bats but was covered in tribal markings. When she watched the last of her men go up she felt someone's lust aimed at her and for some reason it felt terrible.
(' must be a man, it's disgusting and I'll deal with that scum later') Lillian thought then shot straight up landing on the edge of the cliff, about thirty foot straight ahead of them was a small pond with trees and vegetation surrounding it. Carra was walking straight to it when her bats landed in front of her nudging her back.
"Carra listen to them" Lillian sad pulling out a sword rushing to her side the bat nudged Carra onto the others back taking her up off the ground and then everyone elses bats done the same thing grabbing onto their shoulders gently pulling them into the air.
Lillian called her bats off then feels the ground shaking with sink holes appearing everywhere around her with sand churning inside them.
" Lillian get off the ground now its Centipedes" Rae screamed and then Kae looks down at the ground in disbelief.
" they are not suppose to be up this high, they have their own area west of here" Kae said pulling out a bow gun aiming at something in one of the sink holes.
When Lillian sees a centipedes head raise from the ground, she couldn't help but gasp at the size.
" EH!! I am going to be swallowed whole, Rae I want them what do I do" Lillian said with a devilish smile on her face, Carra started to get worried about her and spreads her own wings out she shoots down toward Lillian and was a few feet above her when four centipedes shoot out from the ground blocking her route to Lillian.
" Don't Carra I'll be fine, Twins work on a way for us to collect these beautiful beasts" Lillian said while taking off into the air flying in between the pinchers snapping at her.
Kae finally doused some of the metal arrows in a sticky substance shooting at a soft spot near one of its legs where the shell isnt as hard. "Once it penetrates they need ten minutes for it to take affect, but the problem is " Kae was saying while the other ones started to attack the one she shot, Lillian hands start growing purple and streaks of lightning started to crack out from her palms shooting up into the sky then seven large purple lightning shoots down hitting all seven of the ones whose body are half way above ground causing them to fall over stunned. Lillian runs over to the one that is heavily injured and binds it to her with a contract, then uses a healing spell.
" go 15 miles away from me and wait there" Lillian said to the centipede and looks up at Kae and dodge's a head slap from another one that rushed out of the ground.
" Mal you all stun the ones above ground, twins you all shoot them so I can make a contract and guys if new ones pop up use your earth spell to hold them" Lilian said while everyone did as instructed Lillian muttered the incantations and 8 translucent gold chains flew out from her chest locking into the centipedes.
" go now to where I sent your brother" Lillian said
A bigger sink hole started appearing 3 times the size of the other ones, Lillian quickly gets air born joining the others on a large boulder close to the lake.
" Kae give me that sappy stuff while you bunch do the the same thing from before so I can get this into this bitch who is about to join us" Lillian said while dousing her sword with the sap, everyone gets into formation as they watch Lillian fly toward the sink hole. A Centipede 15 ft wide with part of its body out that was 23 ft above ground, twice the size of the younger ones.
" oh!! I wonder how much bigger it is when its fully out" Lillian said while flying closer to the queen, suddenly its tail shoots out of the ground slapping Lillian into the boulder by the lake with a large stinger on its tail that sliced Lilians arm.
The hit was so hard she immediately started coughing out blood, almost every bone in her body was broken. Mal and the men went on the offensive with the Queen Centipede, while Carra started healing Lillian. Rae ran over near the pond to grab Lillians sword, a crocodile looking beast lunged out of the water toward Rae. One of her bats knocks her out of the way and the thing that resembles a crocodile with horns protruding from its head caught the bat in its mouth and drags it back into the water. Kae quickly grabs her sister dragging her back over to where Lillian and Carra is.
" get back up on the boulder now" Lillian said to them while taking a red potion from her inventory drinking it, her bones made a snapping sound and the girls turned pale just hearing it. Lillian stands up grabbing Carra by the waist jumping up on top of the boulder, she grabs Rae kissing her forehead and taking her sword from her. Lillian drops a black gem on the top an a barrier encloses around them, Carra runs toward Lillian trying to grab her and the barrier knocks her back.
Lillian flys fast toward the giant centipede kicking it on the side of its head making it sway back and forth then buried her sword in between a crack where the exoskeleton connects.
" everyone use your Earth magic to hold her down until I can make a contract" Lillian said while she notices large movements coming from the pond.
" Mal we have company" Lillian said while focusing her earth spell to hold the Queen, mal was about to intervene the 3 beasts that came from the pond and Lillian stopped her.
" one more minute and then we'll take those out, ask Kae what to do with them without letting them out" Lillian said then starts doing the incantation on the queen which used alot of her mana, she falls to one knee and then points toward where she sent the others.
" join them and take your other brats for right now" Lillian said while smiling to herself that she got a Queen so now she can use her to control the ones without a contract.
Lillian looks at the beasts that resembles a crocodile, they have 6 to 8 horns protruding from their head all the way down their backs, the tail has a rounded end with dozens of long spikes coming out from it.
Mal returns by Lillians side after talking to the twins, then hands Lillian a green liquid to help with her mana.
" they said to tire them out and do a contract" Mal said while I just look at her blinking my eyes a few times with my mouth wide open and then look over at the girls, I see all three of them shrug and giving me puppy dog faces.
" ok is everyone ready, they are fast and have several weapons to use at once. If they catch you with their tail or mouth we might not be able to help you heal" Lillian said while they all break off into three group to take on the three beasts. The crockjinda snaps its tail quickly at Mal and she rolls out of the way while Lillian done a back bend lying completely against the ground then jumping to her feet throwing a dark spell that consumes its life. A roar pierced their ears while the other two turn their attention toward Lillian and she pulls out her Naginata from storage. Then puts dark magic into her weapon as she puts the tip to the ground Three blackish red circles appear around the beasts as a powerful burst of magic shoots up engulfing the three beasts.
A fight broke out between magic and brawn the men who was on the smallest one wore that bast down, then joined the other group of men taking on the bigger one opposite of Lillian and the girls on top of the barrier who seemed to be looking over a book.
Lillian does the incantation which connects with the younger one, but the chains break on the other two. They keep trying to pierce the hide with weapons only for it to knock off the rock solid skin, Mal uses her fire magic on one and noticed it's doing the job.
" guys use magic not your weapons, fire seems to wear them down " Mal said
One of the men started doing flips bouncing around throwing mediocre spells at the beast and just pissing it off. The Male beast throws its tail behind its mates head and he dunks just in time to impale the man through his chest.
" Shit enough playing around one of you see if you can heal him" Lillian said while she stores her weapon muttering a spell when hundreds of melon size balls of light fell from the sky hitting the beasts and making craters all around them.
Lillian quickly does the incantation binding the other two beast to her and runs over to check the young man. The other guy bowed his head saying a prayer to the goddess for his friend while using a earth spell to open a grave for him while the rest said a prayer as well and then they covered him with soil.
" Mal go let he girls loose but stay by them I'll check the rest of the area" Lillian said while walking by the large pond.
Carra waited patiently to confront Lillian about locking her in that barrier, she jogs over to Lillian smacking her across her cheek.
" what if you were hurt and I couldn't get to you in time, what if I would have lost you!" Carra says while crying and Lillian pulls her into a hug, then sees her twins walking over toward them. They both pull the girls into the hug and all four of them stay like that until Mal walks over to them.
" we'll stay here for tonight and lt everyone recover some energy, unless you three feel like we can move forward." Mal said while looking at the beautiful pond, Carra Walks over to some herbs she noticed and started picking some.
" Mal we will rest for a couple of hours and then we'll hike for four more, I think the men need time amongst themselves anyway" Lillian said while looking over at the group that was quietly sitting on the ground.
