Chapter 1 - Opening Day

My name is Vic, and I'm an apprentice at this bar. My master and boss Erik are preparing the bar for my first day as an apprentice in this traveling known and well-respected bar named the 'Phantom Cat' it's a bar that only appears in another world for three days and three nights.

We're restocking the bar with enough food and alcohol for us to last at least 3 to 6 months of traveling. In this bar, we serve drinks to the people of another world, where our drinks are exotic and rare to their tastes. I have just recently been hired by my boss just a few months ago, and I've finally understood some of the basics of bartending and making cocktails.

Today's location is somewhere in the Kingdom of Revoir. A kingdom famed for being one of the best in the world that we're visiting. And its king, King Mythros, is a regular to the bar, surprisingly.

"Ah, Sir Erik, I see you are present today. Could I have one of the best beers from your world, please? Also, make it ice cold too." Said King Mythros

"One pint of beer for his Majesty. Happy to see you today." Said Erik as he pulled the taps pouring in one cold glass of beer, then passed it to his Majesty.

"I see that there's a new boy that is helping you in the bar, Sir Erik." Said the king as he drank the beer.

"He's my new apprentice. Soon he will become a full employee once he understands the ropes of my bar." Said Erik.

"Ah, pour me another one, Sir Erik. Say, what is your name, son?" Said the king looking at me.

"My name is Vic, your Majesty. I'm helping my master in the bar for the next few years. hopefully, I could achieve my master's expected performance by working here full-time."I looked at his Majesty smiled at me, giving me hope for the upcoming days.

"Before I forgot, Sir Erik. Do you have the order I gave you last month?" Said his Majesty.

"They're in the back. I may need to ask some of your men to carry it out its mostly are heavy barrels." Said Mr. Erik.

"I'll call some of my men soon. Here's the payment for today's drink. It's nice that you serve the best liquor in this world, Sir Erik. Until next time then. Oh, if my son does come here, tell him that the order he told me earlier to say has finished already." Said his Majesty as he left the bar for today.

"Will do you're Majesty." Said Mr. Erik, as this is my first time in this world of theirs, and it seems like the king likes the bar very much. So this is my future. I need to work hard and by doing my best. I can keep up with my master's work.

"You see that, Vic. That's a man I know that can loosen up when it's time to relax, despite being the most important man in his country. Why you probably ask? It's because men like him are the hardworking kind, those who drag their knees each day, every day for an entire year. You should respect people like him, Vic." Said Mr. Erik with a smile as he wiped up the glass the king used.

"We should prepare for the afternoon rush, master."

"Yes, we should prepare the people of this kingdom has been waiting for us to return in a while. So ready the taps were serving people by the dozen, Vic." Said Mr. Erik as he placed all the beer mugs on the table prepared for serving people started walking into the bar, and our day began.
