Chapter 60 - LEFT BEHIND

I didn't leave my room the whole day. I ate my lunch in the room. I just didn't feel like stepping out. It was three days already, and I just wanted to go home, everything about this business trip had gone wrong, except me regaining my memories and the sweet memories Drey and I made in this mansion.

The trip was supposed to be for three days and this was the third day already, although Drey had promised me a three-day vacation on the island after the trip. But I didn't even want any of that anymore, I just wanted to go back to the capital which is where Drey's house is located.

Drey was a very successful business man, aside his family's conglomerate, he had his own businesses. He could comfortably buy half of the capital with his personal money. He was indeed a powerful figure in the business world. When I was still running my companies I heard so much about him, he was a big gig in the tech industry and every company wanted to collaborate with his company. I didn't bother to enroll my company in the annual collaboration conference because we didn't have all it took to participate in the conference not to talk of qualifying. Then I had two fashion companies and I was about launching my tech company ZAte when I lost everything, my both companies were still new then because I worked for a fashion company for a while before I finally gathered the money to set up mine. I started my first company online, I didn't have a proper office...

Soon I began making profits and I got major deals from some top models and celebrities in which I made good money, I then got myself an office space. My first office wasn't so big, but I was proud of it because it came from my hard earned money.. after a year I needed to get a bigger office, so I did and started a fashion consultant company. I got more deals and hired more staffs, the companies were doing well, at least I could pay my bills, pay my mom's medical bills, my house bills, feeding and I could afford to shop every weekend with the money I made from there, I knew it was going to get better, I even had plans of building a house and buying a car.

I sighed as I reminisced on my past, I picked my phone up and saw five missed calls and a text from Drey. I rolled my eyes and threw the phone on the bed. " Why is he calling me" I thought to myself. Just then I heard a knock on my door and I stood up to answer the door and it was Drey's chauffeur, the one that drives him to work here in his father's house. I rolled my eyes " tell him I don't want to talk" I said to the man who seemed to be confused " good day madam" he greeted " the boss said I should take you to the island". I looked at him in surprise. " He said that?" " Yes ma'am" the chaufeur nodded " where is he?" I asked " the boss travelled for an emergency meeting" . He replied "what! He left me behind?" I asked feeling a bit disappointed.
