Luke had given me a cup of hot chocolate as I am not much of a coffee person so I just needed to relax my nerves. Hot chocolate always calms my nerves. I don't know why but hot chocolate always makes me feel so completely calm and relaxed. Numbs out my senses. I was slightly shacking as what Aria noticed I couldn't fully get the whole chapter into my system as Luke used a flower Kassandra gave him. A beautiful blue orchid. Rare. She gave it to Luke if I ever accidentally went into the book not planned. Luke still doesn't like the idea of me entering that book without him near me. So when I saw Luke giving me the book I felt like it was something I can follow. But seeing two Luke's and then getting shoved to read the book.
It just went bonkers. Sadly the poor blue orchid wilted away in seconds. I won't be able to access the book in a while until the power that Kassandra infused into that flower leaves my system. I have to wait a whole month I am correct and I won't be able to access anything from the book. So even if I open it. It will only be all blank. Nobody else will be able to read it. Luke reminded me he is still unable to touch it. Aria a little bit but it still hurts her. Aria even explained that she had sensed her Luke near and felt his anger so she had awoken.
Worried that the rest would make a fuss she just snuck out and noticed the other Luke. While Luke was holding on to me on the floor. So she tried chasing the fake but the fake had vanished with an annoyed grin. She even told me that it was a shape shifter. Someone that can turn into anybody as long as they have a picture of them. They would have to prerecord the person's voice to be able to edit it and reuse it to whoever they want to scam or sneak away. That their lip sync is always on point and nobody can tell the difference. The best part is that werewolves can never be tricked by shape shifters as werewolves can pick up their distinct scent.
Reasons why Luke quickly noticed the scent and had rushed through the stairs to make it to me as fast as he could. Through their weird mind link Luke had scent his warrior wolves in search of the scent and make sure nobody is hurt and where it had been. This shape shifter is only able to turn into humans so in a way it is good it cannot turn into another being.
I did look back as I remembered the giant whole and I noticed how it was plastered with plastic and had warning signs. So the back door is the one we are to be using from know on. Maybe that's how it accessed into the pack house. Maybe. I know Luke would have so much protection but if they be watching the pack for days. Months even then they would know the schedules by now. But what's the whole urgency with myself and now with Kassandra's book. What's their problem?
That old man is so annoying and I hate him so much just like my mother. They should marry each other and leave me out of their lives. The hunters to just vanish and leave us alone as well. I want to have a happy life. Calm and happy. I don't want this people just ruining everything and then acting like nothing happened. I don't even know how many they killed in all this time. I don't want to even imagine the human casualties because of mistakes they have made 'THE JOURNAL...' My whole body tensed up and I looked at Luke.
He looks at me confused as I say "The hunters journal... Do you still have it?"
"Well of course... I carry it... I know I love my pack but seeing how shapeshifters will be appearing now I will be making sure the bunker is locked and I will be carrying the key and code nobody else" Luke explained gently
I sighed out as I didn't notice I was holding the poor cup for dear life Aria snaps me out of my trance by speaking "I'll go check on the girls... You guys talk for a bit... Vanessa will be here soon to make breakfast... This people are giving me a bigger headache than what I have"
Luke chuckled as she responded "Well obviously you still have the smell of alcohol on you..."
She opens her mouth but no words came out and I say lowly "Busted..."
"What have I told you about drinking?" he asked as he looked at her
She looks at her wrist while saying "Oh look at the time!"
She literally runs away and it made me life gently as Luke groans out in annoyance. He started scratching behind his head as he closes his eyes a bit and I just leaned in. Bumping shoulders. He is so adorable. He looks at me and he had loving eyes on me. Warm and welcoming. I missed his lips on my own so I tapped my lips gently. He had a gentle smirk on and he leans in to give me a gentle kiss. It made me feel so happy I just did my best to place the cup of hot chocolate on the side as I needed to hold him to me. But he just took the cup away as he has longer arms and I hear the gentle clink of the cup touching the table.
The moment our lips connected I just couldn't help moan out in pure bliss. The sensation it was giving me goose bumps. This feels amazing. An electrifying sensation as I just couldn't help wrap my arms around his neck holding him tightly to me. Holding him against me I just missed that so badly. But as he leaned in a bit and my body started to twist a bit my leg started to ache a little bit. I tapped on his chest and our kiss part gently. I opened my eyes to stare at his black eyes and I just smiled gently. I just felt completely and utterly weak to him.
But my leg. We have to wait longer for it to heal. One bad move and it's back to the pack doctor. Though I think they can take me to the hospital as I am human. I sighed out and just smiled gently. He looks at me and just smiled in return gently. I just felt completely calm and relaxed.
"Is everything ok?" he asked gently
"Yeah... But my leg..." I say as I tried moving my leg
He panics a bit and gets off of the couch we are in "Oh am so sorry love... Does it hurt a lot?"
I just giggled and answered gently "It's starting to ache..."
He adjusts my body gently and I just sighed out as the slight pain started to vanish. It made Luke smile gently and he starts to give me a gentle massage on my leg. I felt like I am in paradise. I just hope the shapeshifter doesn't come back. Because they already caught his scent. It felt so good I just stretched my muscles and it felt completely good. I hear little steps and I slightly looked and noticed Aria with a big smile. The rest of the girls looking dead tired. Except for Amelia. She always looks tired and angry.
Luke stops as he looks at the girls being awake and he just sits by my side placing me on top of him. I just didn't understand until I noticed the angry eyes of Amelia. I felt completely and utterly safe in his arms. I just wanted to be by his side today and tomorrow. Something normal. Something we can do without the need of money. I think we should do something like a picnic or go to the waterfall. I do feel curious about riding on top of his wolf form.
"Did we interrupt something?" Aria chirps in with a giggle
"N-No..." Luke stutters a little
It made me giggle and I say "No don't worry... So what will we do today girls?"
Sarah's eyes brightened up and she says loudly "SHOPPING!"
I hid into Luke's arms hiding from Sarah. Not another shopping spree. Luke starts laughing and we hear a door slam. All eyes at the back door and there stood an elderly man. He looks very powerful. I felt completely out of place. All of them bowed their head once and I followed in suit. Is it someone of power? I looked at him and he looks at me with angry eyes. Don't look at his eyes. He does not like that at all. I looked away. My whole body tensing up. Luke holds me tight against him.
I looked at him in panic and he just smiled gently at me. I looked at him with big eyes and I hear a gentle growl come forth. I looked at the bunch of girls and noticed Aria. She did not look happy to see him. Not even Sarah.
"Aria... Please reconsider... You cannot disgrace the Lycan line" the elderly man spoke
"I love my freedom... I gave all Alpha powers and responsibility to my brother and that is my final decision" Aria snaps as she points at Luke
I looked at him 'Brother...' the elderly man spoke "That is the problem... He is not of Lycan line... You should have given the Alpha position to a Lycan line"
I felt Luke's body tense up but Aria speaks again "You are not of Lycan line and you are an elder... My brother earned his rights to be Alpha and I will keep it like that... I have been in a coma for so long and you expect me to come back to the Alpha position when my brother did everything... All you elders are disrespectful"
The elderly man looks angry he speaks again "You are being the disrespectful one!"
I have had enough of this man acting like a child so I stand up and speak "Look... Leave this place it seems you are not welcomed! You are being disrespectful to both people"
The elderly man looks at me and says angrily "Now your place mutt!"
"Now my place bullshit... I am not part of the werewolf community I am human! I am Luke's mate! And you are here just ruining everyone's day and even showed up unannounced" I tell him as I crossed my arms
"I am here to establish order and advice" the elderly man says with a grin
I scoffed and say "With how this pack handles everything there is order... And I don't see anyone asking for your advice"
The man looks at me annoyed "You are a human you do not know what is order in packs"
"I have been here for so long and I was even able to do something you elders couldn't..." I tell him annoyed
"What is that?" he asked annoyed
"I was able to escape the hunters location and steal one thing... Their very first journal!" I say with such pride
The elderly man looks tensed and he says "W-What?"
Luke stands up and wraps his arm around me "I think you should stay... The Alpha King will be arriving tomorrow..."
The man tenses up and he says "N-No... I should go back he might need me to get the paper work of the Valentine's Day party"
Luke smirks as all his canines showed "The Alpha King doesn't do Valentine's Party... You fucking shapeshifter... You thought you could mask your scent this time!"
