Chereads / The Mafia Boys' Contract Marriage [BL] / Chapter 47 - Buenos Aires: The Beach

Chapter 47 - Buenos Aires: The Beach

Leon ran out of that hotel room to go travel to a nearby beach called Pinamar.

Wolfe tried to follow after him, but he tied Little John to the door to guard it. "Make sure he doesn't get away."

"Arf! Arf!" Little John protected that door with a bark.

"Leon Mo, get this rabid dog out of the door! Come back here!" Wolfe called out as he left.

He went to take another cab to this popular beach with white sands and pine trees, not to mention full of hot women in bikinis.

He took off his Hawaiian shirt, and laid down on a hammock shirtless. He watched to see if he could get any single ladies to distract his already muddled brain.

He really needs it. He had bought several bottles of beer, but did not like drinking much so he ended up smoking instead like some brooding bad boy.

This sure enough gained the attention of some ladies, and they went over to chat with him.

He talked to them in different languages. Some were Spanish, some were American tourist like him, some Italian, French... He had great conversations with them.

But that was all.

He's not feeling it.

He's not feeling like taking any of them back to a hotel with him.

And this frustrates him! Why can't he just ask them out right after chitchatting!?

"Fuck this, I'll go swim instead."

He took out his pants, and walk to the hot beach barefoot. His great body gained the looks of many people, both men and women alike.

But his frustrations also made him look intimidating, furrowing his eyebrows like a real lion about to pounce at someone.

They gave way to him as he waded to the waters, feeling the water rising to his ankles.

Just like in California.

He remembered when he used to work at the surfboard rental. The time he almost drowned.

It was raining that time, but he was in a depressive mood again. So he watched the raging waves with a blank, faraway stare. Sufboard on hand.

"Hey, kid! It's not a great time to be surfin', get back 'ere!" The old man that owns the shop said.

He didn't answer back. He just laid the board down.....

And went to surf against the deadly waters!

He doesn't really know what made him do such a dumb decision. It was like he was trying to reach something, tired of waiting and waiting....

In this beach that was just blacks, grays, whites and blues... He wanted to see something yellow.

A yellow sail. Fake yellow hair.

"Away she goes..." He heard the singing mix with the strong rain and wave splashes.

"My friend for forever..."

He saw a large wave, definitely not something for even a professional surfer to ride.

But he still did it.

He stood on both feet, letting the water either take him to great heights or swallow him...

Either was alright with him. He doesn't care anymore.

Wolfe Fang was not in California. He went all the way here for nothing.

"Tomorrow.... Tomorrow..."

The voice never stopped singing in his head, as eventually----

CRASH!

The heavy impact would have broken the bones of someone with a lesser physique. Leon was completely submerged.....

His eyes were closed, unconscious.

While he was drowning, he remembered the laughter of two children.

"We should go the beach next time!" The little him said.

He and Wolfe Fang were playing in a sandbox, making small sand castles.

Wolfe Fang nodded. "I've been to the beach once too. But I don't know how to swim, it looks scary to swim in the sea than in a kiddie pool."

"I'll teach you!" Leon grinned widely. "Then we can swim in all kinds of beaches! Maybe even go surfing!"

"Do you know how to surf too, gege?" Wolfe always regarded him with those eyes made him feel so cool.

"Not yet, but I plan to! It can't be that hard!" Leon said. "Oh, we can also go scuba diving!"

"Whaaa, I wanna scuba dive too!" Wolfe nodded. "I wanna see fishes and jellyfishes, they look so cool when I see them on TV!"

"There's so much things we can do at the beach! Build the greatest sand castle ever, go fishing, sailing, even ride a water jet pack! The possibilities are endless!"

Wolfe smiled. "They all feel scary to try, but I believe in gege! Gege can achieve anything!"

"You can do it too!" Leon took his hand. "These things won't be fun without you!"

Wolfe blushed. "R-Really? But I'm fat. Mom said you can't do many things when you're fat, what if the water jetpack malfunctions---"

"Screw your Mom!" Leon then yelled.

Wolfe blinked in surprise to hear his gege curse.

"I mean..... Don't listen to her. We can do it! You'll lose weight eventually. Then we can do lots of fun things in the beach when we get older!"

Wolfe thought about it. "Aren't you scared fo drowning, gege?"

"A little..... But I won't drown, Xiao-xiao. I know how to swim! And I can't drown, who will teach you to swim now if I drowned?"

Wolfe took his pinky and hook them together. "Alright, you have to promise me that, ok? Gege will never drown, and teach Xiao Wolfe how to swim!"

"I promise!"

He remembered that promise and pushed through to be conscious again. He can't drown.

He made a promise.

He needs to teach Wolfe how to swim!

"Gleargh!" He opened his eyes and gasped, but ended up sucking in water instead.

He quickly tried to swim up the surface despite the stormy waters, and find his surfboard to latch onto.

That was the only reason why he survived that day.

But now, he wants nothing to do with Wolfe Fang. All that things he promised to do with him.....

He wants nothing of it.

He can go swim on his own.

Leon did not realize that he was the only one left in this beach, and the water was now up to his waist.

Storm clouds came, and it was raining just like that time.

A large wave came towards him, followed by a riptide that swooped him into the waters.

But he reacted too late. He was not able to swim back to safety....

As the waters came to swallow him, just like last time.

He was drowning again. But there was no memory to save him.

It seemed that since he made up his mind, no memory of Wolfe Fang will come to be his motivation.

He wholeheartedly chose to drown this time. Otherwise, why wouldn't he not realize the storm?

He wanted it. To end this suffering that was his yearning for a boy that will never return to him.

Perhaps Wolfe Fang, the one he once knew, really did try to swim and drowned. Now replaced by someone who just have the same name.

He was long dead. Leon must accept that.

Everything went black.
