Upon arriving to their destination, the first thing Mira do is inspecting the surrounding area.
'I can't hear the sound of explosion yet, that's a good sign.'
She then headed to where the protagonist and his people supposed to be. Her step were light as if she was here for a sightseeing.
- I thought you were in a rush?
"I was."
Even though Mira steps were light, her pace did not slow down.
"They currently on edge as they about to launch an attack, it's better not to agitate them by rushing into their camp base."
- I see.
"If you sense anyone around, please tell me."
- Oh... About that...
Mira felt chill all of a sudden. She froze on the spot.
Five robed individual currently surrounding her.
One of them tried to unsheathe their sword but stopped by the other.
"I am not with those organization."
Mira trying not to show her nervousness. She want to make a good impression on them by look confident and mysterious to attract their curiosity.
The man did not step away from her as she said that but instead coming closer.
"I advise you to leave this place."
"Heh."
She scoffed.
"Why would an elf not allowed to be in this forest?"
Mira pulled down her robe that has been covering her pointy ear.
"!!!"
The five robed individual startled as they stare at her. The man paused for a few second before mutter a question.
"How- No."
The man shake his head.
"Miss, are you here to talk to our master?"
'Oh, he's sharp.'
Even though Mira has not said much, the man quickly catch on.
She's holding herself from smiling.
"Yes."
The man open and close his mouth a few times before finally let out a question.
"What is it did you want to talk about?"
The man pulled down his robe. Showing his emerald green hair and blue eyes. Zane has heard from his from people that a suspicious individual is heading toward them so he came to personally to inspect them.
He half expected that the suspicious individual is Mira. He was right.
An expression finally showing on Mira expressionless face. Her smile seems mischievous and yet lifeless.
"You have read a novel but I write a novel. Which one holds more information?"
The robed man did not respond immediately and smiled before responding.
"You are."
Mira startled. She didn't expect him to easily accepted her. She's planning on making a big brain move by twisting the truth and making him believe that she's the writer of that book without lying.
'I've even prepared the line for this! Saying things like "I write a prophecy book a long time ago. You only know the fraction of the prophecy that I wrote. Take me. And I will share my knowledge!" Gosh! I wasted a lot of my brain juice to make myself sounds cool and you just accepted it like that?!'
Mira smirk as she try to hide her grumbling heart. Despite her age, she still seems to have that little bit of eight-grade syndrome. Maybe because of her lack of friends, her mind is full of childish thought.
"Heh. You really catch on fast." (Trying to sound cool.)
