A wave of disappointment washed over Demetrius, his jaw tightening as he bit his lip. 'If I want to get everyone out of that hellhole, I've got to make a gamble here!' he thought, his mind racing.
"Aurianna, since we're already saving people from my crew and their families, why not add his family too?" Saem suggested cautiously.
"Too troublesome," Aurianna scoffed, waving dismissively.
Demetrius clenched his fists, his voice firm as he looked at Aurianna. "I'm ready to offer the lives of everyone in my family to you! Not for you to kill them, but to serve as your subordinates. You're a noble, aren't you? Surely you can make use of us!"
His boldness drew startled glances from Saem, Bartholomew, and Peter, but Aurianna tilted her head, intrigued. A slow smirk tugged at her lips. "Oh? Now you have my attention."
'I was going to agree anyway,' she thought, amused by his determination. 'But this is better.'
