"Haha, what lucid dream"
Laughing, I stepped into the bathroom to prepare for the day
'I almost thought I met Truck-kun'
I thought at where I was now,
I am late to class today and I haven't even looked at the assignment given to us.
"Manatheic Chemistry"
I picked my device and skimmed through the material for the class
Centuries ago, it was probably as bad as Organic Chemistry, no given technology advancement it's far worse.
Thankfully, we advanced too.
Anyway, ley's keep you up to date
This is the year 2377, centuries ago a giant asteroid threatened all of humanity, well not really, just most of the earth.
'Thankfully -depending on who you ask- humans at that time had evolved enough to deflect the asteroid, so most countries pulled in resources to create a Weapon of Mass Destruction'
You would think that's how it would go, but did you really think humans trusted each other that much? Of course not
Well, there was some cooperation but it was as though they formed groups that would do their own thing, thankfully they all wanted to achieve the same thing.
So they all created their own primitive bombs they were so proud of
and blasted them of into space.
A question though, how do you think people living in different time zones perceive time?
Do you really think they sent their space crafts into space at the same time? Of course not
There was an agreed upon launch time but some Idiots messed up -which in my opinion was bound to happen- there were delays after the first missile got launched leading to 'miscalculations'
Sigh
I switched off the device, there's not much I'm going to get in such a short time anyway
I got into the bath and started my daily cleaning so I can start my Mudane life
Anyway, after the first missile deflected the asteroid, the others followed and put it back on course.
When all hope was lost the people noticed that as the asteroid was falling it disintegrated and spread across the atmosphere
Perhaps all the bombs and it's journey through mother Earth's atmosphere caused it to erode
It was a significant event and was recorded in the history books
END OF STORY
I got out of the bath and started preparing breakfast leisurely
'Well, I'm already late, no point rushing'
Well...
about two centuries later,
At that time humans where scrambling to prevent the declining life expectancy of their race
A strange event occurred, the sun turned blue!
The entire world was in an uproar, some were saying things like
"IT'S A SIGN OF THE END TIMES, REPENT OH SINNERS, THE DAY OF RECKONING IS AT HAND" and stuff like that.
But the uproar surprisingly lasted for more than a couple of hours, it seems info from space was delayed due to some changes in the atmosphere so they had to adapt their equipment to conditions that would minimize interruptions to the satellite.
It seems it was just "false alarm", the words of the reporter that got famous due to her statement ; "It seems it was just a false alarm, the problem was with the earth not the sun"
That year, 2230. It was noticed that the people that died under the age of 35 was significantly less than the previous year.
In fact, people were reaching 50 years of age and still kicking. I mean that literally, there was even a man in his late sixties that competed in a Taekwondo competition and won second place!
People also took note of how aggressive and dangerous animals have been getting, there were even rare sightings of "monsters"
So humans were quick to pick up that the ecosystem had been changing, so after getting organic samples from the corpses of these "monsters" they discovered a new element which was named
"maNAtheum"
Yes, I said it this way so you won't act like some odd balls in my world that insist on saying it starting with "mana".
They then noticed the children of that generation had traces of manatheum in their blood system, it just wasn't discovered yet.
Then their children started exhibiting some strange "stuff" at time they probably thought it was "early puberty" and ignored it.
Until they couldn't,
Sadly a lot of the evolved first generation fell prey to their rapidly changing and unexplained circumstances, and died due to
"accidents"
Well to cut the story short,
Evolution happened
and I hope my class goes well.
I went out the door-locking itself with a click- and took the elevator to the ground floor
Let me give you a first impression of the view outside my appartment
It feels like stepping into a dream painted with light
-given your present primitive environment-
The sky above was an ever-shifting gradient of hues—vivid oranges, blues, and purples blending seamlessly, pierced by towering spires of crystalline structures that refracted the sunlight into shimmering rainbows.
The streets pulsed with energy, alive with vibrant holograms that danced and shifted in the air—advertisements, guides, and art displays projected in three dimensions, glowing with an almost surreal intensity.
Vehicles hovered silently, their underbellies glowing with soft neon blues and greens as they glided effortlessly between the levels of the city, leaving trails of light in their wake.
Buildings weren't just structures but living entities, their surfaces adorned with bioluminescent patterns that pulsed in time with the rhythm of unseen energy currents. Some seemed to breathe, expanding and contracting as if aware of the people moving within them.
Parks floated in mid-air, lush and impossibly verdant, their leaves tinted in shades of magenta and turquoise.
The air itself was tinged with a faint, electric hum, alive with the subtle scents of alien flora mixed with the ozone tang of advanced machinery.
People moved with purpose, adorned in garments that glowed faintly, their fabrics shifting colors with their moods or the time of day. Some had sleek cybernetic enhancements, their eyes glowing faintly or their limbs adorned with intricate, metallic designs.
Everywhere, there was motion, color, and life, a symphony of technology and nature in near-perfect harmony. It was a world that felt as though it had been plucked from your imagination and brought to life, dazzling, disorienting, and utterly captivating.
This is what manatheum and humans have achieved,
not bad right?
