TWO DAYS LATER, DURING THE LANTERN CEREMONY. BANXI PAVILION
"No! Let me go!" Liqiu cried out as she struggled out of the man's tight grip, but it felt futile. The man had her in a tight grip as he dragged her into the private room.
The loud sound of drums, singing and partying in the other private rooms drowned her cries. Liqiu stretched out her legs before swinging them back hard, the man gasped and let her go.
"Ahhh!" The man shouted and bent over clutching his leg.
Taking advantage of the short reprise, Liqiu scrambled to her feet and ran to the door. She felt a sharp pain on the back of her neck as she wrapped her fingers around the door to pull it open.
"No!" She screamed as she was pulled back by her hair with force, She gasped as the back of her head made contact with the ground.
