Liqiu stood still until she no longer heard any footsteps, she exchanged a cautious gaze with Manlin before stepping out of her hiding spot. She let out a heavy breath and held her hand to her chest.
Manlin turned to the direction the men took and said "Those two...." She glanced at Liqiu and continued, "if what they said correctly then, his royal highness is not the man we think he is".
Liqiu inhaled deeply through her nose and exhaled through her mouth, "Manlin, I think it is about time we looked into the Crown Prince's activities. If my suspicions are right then his royal highness is no longer an ally but an enemy".
She swept her sleeve aside and resumed walking to the main house. Liqiu paused at the centre of the small bridge that ran over the fake lake separating the main house from the private room.
