Chapter 64 - I will handle him

Two days later, the Banxi pavilion.

Xiaolian transferred the tray of empty plates to one hand as she shut the door with her free hand. She gave a weak smile to one of the other maids who had come put at the same time.

The maid returned her smile and went on with her business. The smile disappeared as soon as the maid's back was to her, Xiaolian stiffened a yawn before heading to the kitchen. 

The room suddenly caved in which made her lose a step. Xiaolian placed a hand on the wall, which held her up. She maintained that position for a few minutes before standing. 

Xiaolian looked down at the tray and rearranged the empty plates and utensils. She resumed walking once everything was set.

Xiaolian stopped at the gardening to get some fresh air on her way back to Liqiu's room. She sat on the stone steps opposite the fish tank and hugged her legs to her chest.
