Duke Shenxiu Residence, The Bamboo Courtyard.
The steward of the main building Xiuyi stood by the railing and supervised the maids sweeping the compound. She squinted her eyes to keep the rays of the sun off her eyes.
Xiuyi jumped and looked back as she heard a scream from inside the young master's room. She turn around eyes narrowed at the maids holding the straw brooms and looking towards the main building.
"Don't just stand there, continue cleaning!"
The maids jumped and looked away, she tsked as a few pretended to be cleaning. She called one of the older maids and instructed her to supervise the cleaning before going into the building to see what was going on.
She frowned as she saw the pool of water beside the screen covering the sleeping chamber. "What is going on here?"
The maid jumped and turned to face her, "Elder Sis-sister Xiuyi," the maids chorused cheeks flushed.
