I just landed in South Korea and I was exhausted ,very exhausted .I was going to be staying with one of my friends Choi A-ri ,we met during my stay in south Korea and she invited me to stay with her .
"A-ri !!" I said waving to her as I approached her .
"Anashe ," she said walking towards me .
"I am so tired !!" I said hugging her , "Let's go home so that you rest ,you shouldn't be travelling so much while pregnant ," she said as she helped me carry my bags .
We got to her house and she helped me settle down ,I freshened up ,ate while we updated each other on our current affairs and finally went to sleep .The next morning I woke up refreshed but I needed to go to the hospital for a check up to ensure everything was okay .A-Ri accompanied me to the hospital to the gynaecologist my New York Gynae recommended to me , "So how are you feeling?"
"Well I am okay but tired ,you know when I used to scroll through social media I used to see many pregnant women who looked so good and enjoyed their pregnancies not that I am not enjoying mine but it's so hard ,I have pelvic pains whenever I stand ,I walk like a duck ,I have back pains,I have to pee all the damn time ,I am always hungry , my legs are swollen and I can't sleep in any position because my stomach is huge ,I used to sleep with my stomach now aii its hard . I also have to take so much medication and it's frustrating ," I said to the doctor .She was smiling , " Yeah at least you now understand what we as women have to go through for these naughty beings ,but when you hold your babies you will forget all the things any cravings etc?"
"I am the lucky ones the daddy is the one suffering he is moody and emotional ,he has extreme cravings like who eats ice cream with cheese on top ewww and he has the hormonal changes and stuff im good just physical pain ."
"You are the lucky one ain't you .I pity him but he will be okay ,Any movements?"
"Yes a few times ,not that much just a little .I was afraid they wouldn't move at all but they don't kick at all they are so grumpy ," I said .
"Don't worry they will kick so soon I'm sorry but I will add some more medications but the babies are healthy and well I'm happy surprisingly .I am worried though because as much as they are healthy they are at risk because they might be born prematurely and your body is getting tired day by day your heart is getting tired too ,"she said writing the prescription down .
"Thank you doc I will keep drinking my million medication and be careful ,thank you ," I said bowing lightly and standing up slowly .
"There is a new café that opened up ,do you want to go and try it ?"
"Oh yes please ,that would be the magic I need," I said as I wore my disguise a simple nice wig , sunglasses and a mask with a scarf .
We drove to the new café and it looked nice and comfy ,there was no one there and it was so quiet and nice ,It smelled sweet and the smell of coffee was light but strong . "It's so comfy and it smells nice in here ,loving it already,"I said sitting down.
"True it's very homey."
"Good day ,Welcome to the Nouvea Café ,I am Ji-Hyun your waiter for today ,here is the menu and please do call me when you are ready to order ," he said as he bowed and left us .
"Ohh they have choc-mint muffins ,"I said as I got my body ready to eat them .
After going through the menu we ordered and we sat there talking while waiting for our orders , as we were talking someone entered the café ,I looked over and the person had a mask on and was wearing a huge jacket plus a beenie ,our eyes met …..I could recognise those eyes from anywhere ,I looked away quickly but again found myself looking again .
The man also looked at me as if he knew who I was but then he went and found a seat a table away from our table ,his eyes kept coming back to me .It was too early we shouldn't have met now , "Why do you keep looking at him ,do you know him?" Choi asked .
"No no not at all ,I was just wondering why he was wearing such a big jacket ,is he sick?" I said to her .
"It's kinda chilly outside ," she said looking out the window as it became dark with clouds .
The man kept staring at me and I was trying so hard to not look at him and hide myself and make myself unrecognisable but he never stopped looking ,our orders came and I couldn't eat because of the mask , "Come on eat ."
"Yeah but I am suddenly not hungry ," I said trying to sound convincing .
"Oh come on you were so eager to taste them eat up Ana ," A-Ri said .
I slowly removed my mask but looking the other way but the man's eyes grew wide and he recognised me , he stood up and walked to our table . "Anashe!"
"Ji-min ," I said sighing .
"I knew that I knew those eyes ,you looked so familiar ," he said looking happy .
"OmG Ji-minssi I knew you knew this man that's why you kept acting funny ," A-Ri said squealing.
"I was trying to hide you know ."
"When did you arrive in Korea and why didn't you tell us that you are here and….you ..a.re pregnant?"
"Yes ," I said smiling nervously .
"Congrats I guess," he said .
"Thanks," I said awkwardly.
"Can I join you guys ?"
"Yes" A-ri said .
He sat next to us and also ordered ,we ate while A-ri and Ji-min talked ,I was quiet as I was so scared and nervous for absolutely no reason but anyways I was nervous . After we all finished eating we paid and walked out , "Uhm Anashe are you busy?"
"Uhm well yea-"
"No she is absolutely free for today ," A-ri said .
"A-ri ," I whispered ,she pulled me aside . "Anashe I have to be somewhere immediately and I can't leave you alone in this condition so go with him wherever then when im done I will come fetch you ," she said ,busy huh?
"Yes she is free ," A-ri said .
"Well do you want to come over and see my new place ?"
"Yeah I guess that's cool," I said .
We got into his car presumably and we drove away, we were so quiet and awkward in the car .
"Why are we awkward ?"I finally said breaking the painful silence.
"I don't know really ," he said glancing at me once .
"Well let's not be awkward im in south korea yeyy," I said smiling .
"Yes you are and you didn't tell me ," he said .
"Sorry my bad I wanted to surprise you ," I said .
"Well I am surprised but glad you are here we haven't seen each other in months ," he said smiling .
"Yeah I know ,finally I get to see the chimchim house ," I said chuckling as he always wanted me to come and have a live tour .
"By the way you said you live in the beverly what?"
"Beverly hills of Seoul ," he said smiling .
"Ahh yes ,well let's see that Beverly hills of seoul," I said quoting Beverly hills .
"Well what is the Beverly hills of new York ?"
"I don't really think we need a Beverly hills of new York ,new York is more expensive than Beverly hills like it's the 2nd high cost place after San Francisco So it is the high class of Beverly ," I said .
"Bragging much ," he said .
"Nah I'm not bragging im just saying,"I said .
"We are here."
"Wow ,this looks decent ," I said looking around.
"Say it ."
"Okay thisss looks great look at these houses ,oh my goshh who stays in that one dzammnn ," I said looking out like a little girl pointing here and there .
"I knew you would love it ," he said getting out .I opened my door too and he helped me get out of the car . "This is a beautiful place I must say ."
"Thank you."
We walked into his flat and it was so beautiful and aesthetic , I sat on the couch . "What can I get you?"
"Tea please and some water thank you ," I said .
"Coming right up ," he said going to the kitchen .
As he prepared the tea I looked around the and admired ,I ended up in his kitchen and I loved it , "Your kitchen I love it ," I said .
"Thank you ,please seat down no standing much you look like you are about to give birth ," he said .
"Almost just 6 months along ," I said sitting on the kitchen chair .
"6 ?your stomach is unusually big ."
"Yeah that brings us to another level of discussion ,I'm carrying twins," I said .
"Twins ,wowww!!" he said looking at me smiling .
He got the tea ready but I wanted water first as he was passing the glass of water he suddenly stopped and dropped the glass of water , "Oh my gosh is everything okay?" I asked standing to get next to him .
"6 months ? that takes us back to the time you and hyung …" he said .
"Ji-miiin you are undressing everything at once , " I said stepping away from the shattered glass ,he snapped back , "Oh sorry don't get close let me clean up ,"he said helping me sit on the chair as he cleaned up his mess .
"So tell me ,is what I am thinking true ?" he asked as we were back in the lounge sitting on the couches while facing each other .
"What are you thinking?"
"You know ,you, hyung ,babies."
"You are solving things way to quickly for my liking but anyways yes ."
"...….."
"...….."
"Are you going to keep quiet ?" I asked looking at him as he was in deep thought .
"Does he know?"
"Nope ."
"Why?"
"Because I wanted to tell him face to face ," I said ,it was part of the truth .
"Ohh well so I am going to be a father?"
"Uhh Yeah I guess."
"I am going to be a father !!!"he said screaming and hugging me .
"You know A-ri won't come to fetch you ?" he said as he placed food on the table , " I know that and I left my phone with her ugghhh!!"
"Don't worry you are safe with me ,I don't bite." He said winking .
"You will never change will you ,what's for dinner?" I asked standing up to sit on the dinner table .
"For a pregnant woman you are fairly active ," he said helping me sit on the chair .
"Ahhh that came out wrong ," I said laughing ,he looked confused .
"Never mind ," I said .
We settled and we started eating as we talked and he made jokes ,I was laughing the entire dinner and he kept feeding me again and again until I totally shut my mouth full .
"One more ," he said. I shook my head , " Pleaseee" he said again, "N-" he shoved food in my mouth ,I slapped his arm as I chewed the food almost choking .
After dinner I helped clean up and he washed the dishes after that I was tired and needed to freshen up so he took me to the guest bedroom and gave me extra towels and toiletries but he had to buy me new clothes to change for tomorrow and some underwear ,while he went to buy all that I decided to take a bath as I really needed one badly .Jimin had strictly told me that I should avoid showers because I might slip and fall .
After taking a bath I applied lotion and remained with a towel wrapped around my body as I walked to the lounge to watch a movie while waiting . He came back and gave me the things and I went to get dressed and got into bed ,as I was about to sleep Jimin opened the door and got in , "Hey ," he said .
"Hey," I said trying to sit up , "No no need to sit up in fact sleep I was just here to make sure you are comfortable ," he said as he sat by my bed side. "Yes I am thank you ."
"Can I touch your stomach ?" he asked .
"Yeah sure ," I said taking his hand and bringing it to my stomach . I felt the babies moving and this time they moved so vividly their moves were strongly felt unlike the previous ones , "Can you feel that they are moving ," I said smiling . He nodded and kept rubbing my stomach , "They love you ," I said as I felt their movements . I looked up and he had a tears in his eyes , " Don't cry ," I said .
"Thank you this is the biggest gift you could give us ,hyung will be happy I know that," he said hugging me again . "Thank you too for not judging me ,ever."
