Chapter 8 - Galaxy

"Do you also happen to know something about that place where I can access your master's memories from the inside?" Minnie said while unconsciously tampering with the contents of Lyionel's wagon, more precisely the alcoholic drinks that Lyionel specifically said to not touch.

"The recall hall? Of course I do, I've been there," Sylvie said while watching Minnie drink from the lid of the medium sized clay jar.

"You Spirit animals can also go there?" Minnie said before taking another sip.

"All forms of spirit can go there except for the living," Sylvie said which immediately made Minnie spill the sweet Japanese sake from her mouth and choked.

"W-What do you mean spirits only? I've been there before, twice!" Minnie said in horror.

"You were only able to go to there for the first time because you were not yet completely resurrected at that time," Sylvie explained.

"And for the second time?" Minnie anticipated in horror.

"Because of the built up pressure from the divine blessing that your body unfortunately couldn't handle," Sylvie said as if it was just a walk in the park type of conversation they're talking about.

"What?!" Minnie acted as if she was suffocated and hugged herself for support, "I already died twice? I didn't even feel anything from that divine blessing thingy," she added with a pout.

"Even so! You have to believe me that it's there Minnie. That power is so dangerous that if you don't find someone who can teach you how to control it immediately? Forget about even returning to your own world. It's either you're gonna get targeted by those power hungry mages out there or your soul's gonna get swallowed by that massive unstable current of energy before you even know it," Sylvie said as if the information that Minnie just absorbed about her dying twice already in that lifetime was not enough of a huge stress factor for her already.

"No, you're just scaring me," Minnie said in denial with a nervous chuckle..

"Well, it's now up to you if you'll believe me or not," Sylvie said and then shrugged.

"Why couldn't you be the one to teach me how to control this great power instead?" Minnie bargained in a higher-than-usual tone.

"Because I'm only a spirit animal and I practice a completely different kind of magic from yours," Sylvie turned around and let out a deep sigh, "If only I knew the process on how to deal with a power like that, I'd already be teaching you in a heartbeat just to get over this quickly."

"Makes sense," Minnie sighed and crossed her arms.

"Ahh, why is it so much harder dealing with a level zero adult than a level zero infant?" Sylvie muttered behind Minnie's back that made her snicker.

"Speaking of level zeros, can you start by explaining to me what kind of world and magic am I dealing with right now so I wouldn't have to ask that goofball anything anymore?" Minnie requested, finally moving on from her bargaining stage into acceptance.

"I think you should start by accessing our biggest source of information first," Sylvie said and grabbed both of Minnie's hands together.

"This portal might contain different versions of the truth unlike your memory hall but you can find almost everything immediately in it just by searching into the search box like this," Sylvie explained while shaping Minnie's thumb and index fingers into two L signs that are connected like a camera hand sign.

"First step, connect your thumbs together like this and then open it slowly just like how you opened my portal to the galaxy," Sylvie further instructed.

"Like this?" Minnie said while showcasing how well she was following along with her spirit animal's antiques by sliding her two L-signs together by the thumb and away from each other slowly.

"Right! That's right! Keep going!" Sylvie exclaimed in the middle of Minnie's progress while watching small purple ignition sparks stretch from one end of her thumb to the other, indicating the opening of the small portal search box between her fingers.

"Wow! Something's really happening!" Minnie was also exasperated with excitement, "But what does this small thing even d-"

Minnie was not even able to finish her sentence when she immediately got cut by the holographic screen that appeared in front of her!

"Woah!"

"And that is how you open your galaxy's inventory, main screen and search box, noobie level zero mage with divine powers. You're welcome very much," Sylvie delightedly said and even acted out a proud little bow before proceeding to slowly disappear through Minnie's home screen without any notice of where she was headed to.

"Sylvie? Where are you going? Are you still there? Please come back, I don't know how to use this thing-" Minnie tried calling for her and even reached out her hand to follow Sylvie through the screen but her hand just went through it and didn't disappear.

"What? How did she-?" Minnie wondered and went silent as she thought of every other way to call Sylvie back.

"Should I open the galaxy portal again for her?" Minnie muttered to herself before focusing on the word 'Galaxy' engraved on the upper banner of her supposedly 'home screen'.

"Wait… what?" Minnie paused as she thought of the name being utterly similar to a very big company back in her home world.

"Knock kno-"

"Ahhh!" Minnie flinched from the surprise of an unwelcomed visitor.

"What the heck?!"

"Sorry!" Lyionel apologised before pushing the curtain door open to a restless Minnie who was trying her best to hide the exposed Galaxy tab from him.

But little did she know how the preview of everyone's galaxy tab was only exclusive to the owner's eyes and their possessions.

"Is there something wrong?" Lyionel asked in confusion while watching her fan the air as if trying to get rid of something that was not even there, at least to his perspective.

"Uhhh, nothing!" Minnie said and rushed in front of him to completely cover up his field of view.

"What are you doing?" Lyionel's hands automatically went straight to her shoulders to push her away at least with a meter of distance in between.

"Trying to hug you?" Minnie laughed nervously.

"Oh hell no!!" Lyionel reacted so violently that made Minnie shut her mouth immediately.
