He takes in a deep breath and tries concentrating so as to pick up anything that might aid his search or seem odd as funnily,he hadn't noticed any light nor a person lurking around in the house which seemed like a well laid trap as he move through the corridor.
"unless the person or whosoever was stupid or had too much confidence in themselves.!"
He mutters in his mind.
"What the hell are these things?"
Someone whispers and he his fast to catch on it. Opening his eyes, he discovers Xavier standing at the end of the corridor with a pen light flash on the floor.
"How did you get there and where did you get that from?"
He hints at the pen light in his hand.
"Always with me! "
Xavier smiles and looks back at the floor as Edward joins him to look at it and suddenly, he crouches down at the floor.
"I think I know what this is!"
Then rising up, he gazes at the wall curiously and said.
"I think we can find Tricia, I need u to stand on alert in case it turns tricky."
"what do u mean?, or what doe's it mean?"
Inquired Xavier hinting at the diagrams on the floor.
"I have always felt this building was strange and had this eerie and creepy feeling about it, now I know why!".
a thoughtful frown appeared on his face and Xavier gazes at him with a look of expectancy.
"in the olden days, buildings with this type of diagrams on the walls and floors were usually kept mostly by covens of witches as only they
could really understand what this things meant."
"but then, its tricky, as they are usually represented in different forms and each forms held it own meaning. but,"
He pauses and stares at the diagrams one more time before holding his right hand in the air to hush Xavier who was about asking another question. He gestures for him to hand him the pen light which he obliges and Edward sleeps his hand into his pocket and produces a little case.
opening it, he brought out something that looked like a monocle but in reality, it was not. He crouched down on the floor and places the little glass on a circular pattern on one of the diagrams then mutters some words and the diagram begins to glow emitting a light red light that soon spread around the other diagrams and the corridor darkens revealing the other diagrams which spread through out the corridor.
"What the hell!"
Xavier mutters and Edward's eyes snap open.
"These are magical channel, they lead to different spaces!"
He looks up and glances at Xavier.
"One can get lost in them forever, it's had to tell!"
saying this, a frown came to form on Edward's forehead as he thought of the next step.
"Do you still feel your abilities?"
And Xavier who was about to speak pauses then tries to use his ability but feels nothing.
"How is this possible?"
He stares at his brother unhappily as he had been able to apparate some minutes ago.
" it sucks ones abilities!"
came Edwards calm words as he stood to his feet without breaking the channel.
" We need to figure out something!"
He mutters as he stares at his brother.
