Chapter 1 - Timmy's Adventure

There is a tale often told that children who touch things that they weren't meant to, get taken away to a school, where a monster lies. And there, they live, only to be hunted down and dragged away. Never to be seen again.

"Huff, huff, huff…" the ragged voice of a boy trying to catch his breath as he ran through the school's corridor. It had windows of shattered glass; bloodstains could be seen splattered throughout the walls like it was dyed red. The lights flickered for the briefest of moments and then faded, casting eternal darkness. The moon, hidden behind the clouds, halted any sort of light from shining on the surface.

"Timmy, oh poor Timmy," a voice rung from behind the boy, Timmy. Without looking back, he ran. As fast as he could. Yet, the voice was getting closer? Behind him he could see a Jack-O-Lantern. It was chasing after him with a wicked smile. Its eyes, bright yellow, its teeth, stained with blood. It wore a cloak. From which appeared no legs. Instead, two thin bony hands held a scythe. But Timmy knew that those hands were stronger than they appeared.

"Timmy! Don't run in the hallways." The Jack-O-Lantern whispered to him, its sing-song voice echoing in the cramped areas of the school, sending shivers down Timmy's spine. Its cloak flutters as it glides across the floor. Its scythe screeched as it was dragged along the floor. The head giggled to itself as if it found what it said funny.

Timmy quickly saw an intersection and skidded as he turned right. The Jack-O-Lantern, however, was not so lucky. It slammed into the wall, leaving a gaping crevice where the wall once was, tiny bits of rubble falling. Timmy continued running until he saw some lockers. He ran to them. Timmy started shaking them. Trying to find a hiding place. He heard the sound of the scythe getting closer to him like metal grinding on stone and he started panicking. Frantically, he searched, hoping to find a place to hide from the monster chasing him. When the monster is just around the corner, he finds an open locker. Timmy hides in the locker at once, shutting it completely. Hoping to God, it doesn't find him.

Screeeeeeech. Screeeech. Thud. "Hu, hu" The Jack-O-Lantern turned around the corner. In the locker, Timmy could see it and let out a small gasp, quickly covering his mouth with his hands. The Jack-O-Lantern had lost its cloak, now Timmy could see its body. Which was nothing short of grotesque.

It had a large and bulky body; however, it was rotten with flies buzzing around its body. It emitted a horrid stench that was reminiscent of mouldy cheese and diarrhoea. Its hand no longer looked like a twig, instead, its arm was covered in muscles wrapping around it, but there was no skin. It was breathing smoke through its nose and it looked thoroughly pissed.

"Timmy boy, now you've done it." The Jack-O-Lantern started walking towards the lockers. "You should've just listened to your parents as they told you to." Timmy started sweating as the Jack-O-Lantern got closer to him with each step. "Timmy don't touch things that people tell you not to touch" The Jack-O-Lantern mimicked in a high-pitched voice, waving its hands in front of it. "Your mother, Martha, kept telling you to not touch the things you shouldn't, but you just don't listen, do you! And now guess what!" The Jack-O-Lantern's voice was raising hysterically "Maybe you should have listened to her! Maybe you wouldn't have ended up here then!" The Jack-O-Lantern dropped its arms, trying to catch its breath.

"Oh well, not that it matters anymore Timmy." The Jack-O-Lantern lifted its head, and Timmy saw an eerie large smile on its face. "Because now you are here, and soon... you will disappear." And with that, the Jack-O-Lantern lunges forward and rips open the locker door. Showing a cowering Timmy inside, looking at the Jack-O-Lantern in fear.

"No! Stop! Please, let me go!" Timmy wailed in fear, as the Jack-O-Lantern grabbed him by the shirt and started dragging him across the floor. He struggled to break free but to no avail.

"Poor Timmy, it's already too late for that now." The Jack-O-Lantern said while shaking its head. It was still holding on tightly to the struggling Timmy. "You had your chance, and you lost it. But don't worry, we will keep you company." It said gleefully as it reached a door. Its handle was rusted and blackened. It had a sign that read, 'Where the rest of them lie'.

"W-w-we?" Timmy stuttered as the Jack-O-Lantern pulled open the door. He turned his head towards the door. What he saw made his eyes widen and his mouth agape. Then, he started struggling and shrieking, even more, trying to break free. "N-n-nooo! I beg you! Please, anything but that!" Timmy blubbered in fear while staring at what was in the room. And with that, the Jack-O-Lantern chucked Timmy in the room. Closing the door, Timmy's final screams could be heard, before complete silence. Then the Jack-O-Lantern walked away humming to himself. And Timmy was never seen again.
