I don't know how to say this! I don't know how to break this out to him ! How in the world I'm I going to say this? I should...now obviously but...but maybe the right time will come. When will be the right time Sarah? You've been waiting for the right time for three years now, when will the right time actually come?
"Baby!" Arnold called out putting my train of thought to a halt.
"Huh?" I stuttered nervously looking around to see if people were looking at me.
"You're still holding the fork with food on it still to your mouth!" he said and I quickly put the fork away looking around nervously.
"I'm sorry, Arn but I have no appetite. Sorry I'm making our dinner date miserable" I said putting a hand to my forehead.
"It's okay, let's go home" He offered rising up already.
"No Arnold! My inability to eat now will not mean you'll also have to starve with me. Come on" I encouraged and offered him my best smile, his favorite smile actually to coax him, the smile that brought into display my very deep, cute and alluring dimples as he termed it.
"See baby, when you eat I eat. You starve I starve. You smile I smile. You live I live and you die I die. Just like Romeo and Juliet, nothing can separate my love for you " He said and reached out for my hand and I felt sick immediately! Arnold! Typical Arnold, poor him. These were exactly the things he does that makes it difficult for me to tell him the news.
Soon, we were outside and Arnold held open the car's door for me and I walked in. He took my designer handbag for which he paid seven thousand dollars for just yesterday which made me sick with worry that I decided to show him gratitude by wearing it to our dinner date today. He placed it at the back seat of the car.
I forced a smile at him when he took his seat and started the car. I turned on my phone and realized I had received ten messages from four chats. They were from Sonia, Mom, Lisa and David.
I opened Mom's first.
Mom: 'Can you please get me some groceries on your way back?'
David: 'You left your purse dum***s'.
I rolled my eyes at my brother's message and scrolled to the next.
Lisa: 'Have fun baby girl'
'We're at your house'
Sonia: 'Chill but don't freeze'
'It's going to be okay'
'Tell him once you've got the chance'
'Lisa and I are waiting for you'
"Is something bothering you?" I heard Arnold's voice and jumped in my seat. I looked at Arnold with both brows raised. He looked back at me then at the road ahead and said again,"I've been noticing your absent mindedness for a while now"
"Oh..." was all I could say then fiddle with my phone. Now's the time Sarah! Say it! Say it! Shut your eyes and pour it out! I shut my eyes, clenched my fists and held in my breath, opening and closing my lips. All I saw Arnold, his love for me, the millions of dollars he'd rained on my family and I, how his relationship with me was very important for my dad's company and his dad's company too! No I can't do this! I pulled out of my thoughts when the car came to a rather brutal stop!
"Arnold?" I realized we had stopped by a mall when I looked around. I looked back at Arnold and nearly jumped out of the car. I was breathing heavily as silence reigned in the air-conditioned car and Arnold stared at me with this dangerous glint and aura in his eyes.
"Who is he?" was the question that rolled out his tongue.
"He? Who is he?"I asked back clearly confused..
"Who is that giving my princess a heart-throb? Say it and I'll give my father a call and his mafia group would make the person history!" Arnold threatened.
I sighed. "Arnold....I have to get groceries for my mom". His gaze softened up and he turned to me saying, "I'll be right back!"
"No, no, no. It's okay I should..." The door slammed shut and he was out already heading towards the mall. I knew why I was begging him not to go. He would shop the entire mall for me especially since it was my mom needing them. I remember this one time when Mom asked me to get her this new designer shoe that was out that she couldn't get her mind off while I was going to escort Arnold to the airport where he would fly back home to Spain. Arnold had had his flight cancelled that day and got my mom three entire closets of new latest designer shoes where till date my mom has worn barely up to seven shoes.
A knock on my window brought me back to the world. There Arnold stood with three big bags of groceries filled to the brim. I opened the car boot and that was when I saw him bring in five more big bags in addition. What the?! He entered and started the car and we drove off in silence to my house.

Sometimes, I'm pretty sure my mom likes the fact that Arnold is super filthy rich that's why somehow she always only needed things when I was out with him! We arrived home...well not yet home because home is where the heart lies and my heart certainly did not lie here since we just moved in a week ago. It would take some time for this too much of a house to be called my home. I totally loved the other house more than this. It was where I spent my years as a teenager at. Arnold had bought this place last two weeks and gifted it to me as Snowy's birthday present! He forced me to move in even though I didn't want to. Mom had to feign stubbornness to bring me here and she won because she was my weakness. I wondered how someone could gift a dog a 27 million dollar house!!! And oh..Fun fact: Snowy's a dog.
Arnold opened the car door for me and I stepped down smiling at him while Elsa, my sixteen years old sister came running at us with snowy in hand.
"Hey lovebirds!" she greeted.
"Where's mom?" I asked ruffling Snowy's curly fur.
"She's making dinner with Sonia and Lisa" She replied.
After Arnold and Elsa packed the grocery bags, we left to the inside.
