The call ended in his ear and Marcus sighed. At that moment, he knew that he was doomed. Letting his phone drop on the bed beside him, all he could imagine was removing his title and handing it over to his Deputy Chief. It was a thing of shame and the stigma was going to remain even after he got out of jail.
