When she heard booted footsteps coming towards the door, she stilled and listened.
There were no voices heard. Just the sound of a key being inserted into a keyhole and the door clicking unlocked. She watched the door close and saw how the handle bent before the door came open.
A tall black man walked into the room. Behind him was a blonde-haired lady who looked to be Russian and when she spoke, Vivienne's suspicions were confirmed.
"You look sweaty," The woman spoke, in a thick Russian accent as she walked towards Vivienne and untied the ropes.
Vivienne felt the pressure on her wrists and ankles dissipate and she massaged her swollen, red skin with her fingers. Being tied with a rope as thick as that was injurious and her skin told the tales.
The lady stepped back and studied Vivienne. Then, she turned to the black man who had busied himself with checking out the torturing equipment quietly.
