Vivienne watched Luis turn his back on her as he began to walk away. She covered her mouth with her hand and sobbed.
She had to admit to herself that she had done wrong by talking to him in this manner. She had let their differences get in the way of her appreciation and she had been outrightly rude. Vivienne felt bad and she would have loved to follow after him and apologize but she knew she wasn't going to.
So she swallowed and turned. She was going to take that walk and clear her head. But what she needed the most was a bath. A thorough bath to get rid of the man's musty scent.
When Luis got back to the party, Jenkins and Arty. hurried to him, their eyes filled with questions as they waited for him to speak.
"She left," Luis informed them without an atom of care in his voice.
