Synopsis
"Going somewhere Kavyaa?" Kavyaa came to an abrupt stop when his black car blocked her path. He got out of his car wearing a new shirt and coat. Did he just say my real name? "Www..what?" She asked puzzled by what he just said. A short smirk plastered his once scared face. "I said are you going somewhere Mia?" This time he used her fake name to keep her at ease. Lie! Her mind screamed. She clutched her duffle bag tightly. This man just killed someone! Someone that I used to know. She was lucky to have escaped before he caught sight of her. Moreover, this man in front of her was not ordinary. She couldn't believe he was something out of the horror books, and unfortunately, she'd had a run-in with him before. In his true form, he now hid away behind his sharp gaze. "I'm...I'm just going hh..home." She stuttered. They both knew she had gone the wrong way. It was clearly out of town. Still, her guardian understood her intentions. Escape from him. He would never allow her to do that, especially since she intrigued him too much. For he sensed she wasn't quite human herself. He opened up the car door for her, like the perfect gentleman. "Come on get in. After all, you don't want to be heading home alone at this hour of the night?" -- Kavyaa, a nineteen-year-old girl is in trouble. She's being hunted down by a person who killed her foster family. She ran for her life, and luckily she ran into an unlikely creature that saved her life. A cop soon rescued her from the road and got her into a witness protection program. Chapter 1 - 01. Flashback pt 1

##Everybody's gone surfin'

Surfin' U.S.A.##

Who the heck is listening to The Beach Boys?!

I heard a light whistle singing to the song besides me and I chose to keep my eyes wide shut.

Unfortunately, not even the Beach Boys could stop me from seeing the ongoing nightmare I faced a week ago.

Ghosts and monsters? They don't exist, right? Then why did I end up being chased by one?

{A/N This is a very long flashback that's cut into parts, so bear with me.}

[...Flashback Part 1...]

I was in my garden exercising my powers. Powers? Yes, I have powers I've had them since I turned the age of eight. I was freaked out at first, after I accidentally brought back the dead class rabbit to life. I don't know how I did that, but a short spark came out of my hand.

I was so scared to tell anyone but eventually, my late grandma found out. She told me that I'd inherited a rare gene that ran in the family.

I wasn't like the rest of the kids.

I never fell ill or got any coughs or colds. I always considered myself a healthy person. Until I started getting those fevers and headaches. That was because I locked my powers inside of me. It kept on getting worse day by day. Until I couldn't hide them inside of me anymore.

But once I exercised those powers, my headaches would go away.

'You have no reason to be scared of it Kavyaa. You have a gift from the Gods! You're an Apsara, my dear child.' She said hugging me.

At first, I didn't know what she meant, but then she told me.

I was kind of like a half-angel, and it turned out, it wasn't just the dead animals I could bring back to life and heal cuts and wounds. I could make plants grow with the touch of my palm.

Unfortunately, I was told to never to reveal my true self in front of the humans, since they'd no doubt use me as a science experiment. She always said, my blood was precious, and that nobody should ever get a hold of it, or I'd be in severe trouble with the monsters.

Monsters? (huffs) I never really believed in them like she did. I just thought of them as silly horror stories to scare the kids to sleep.

My grandma sadly passed away when I turned twelve years old. Leaving me orphaned.

I was now thrown into foster care and went through many foster carers over the years. I finally ended up being taken care of by a good middle-aged carer, her name was Lisa.

Keeping my promise to my late grandmother, I kept my powers hidden as best as I could, but unfortunately, that led me to have severe headaches. Not even Asprins worked on getting my headaches down. I couldn't stand it. So, every now and then, I'd exercise my powers in the backyard of the garden. That was my sanctuary. I'd promised to keep my secret locked not sharing a word of who I really was with anyone. Not with my friends or even Lisa.

Eventually, I got really good at handling my powers. It amazed me that I could now grow out more plants than usual by the age of eighteen I soon discovered that I could control the Earth Element.

During a camp class trip, that headache started up again. I sneaked out of my camp and ventured into the nearby woods.

I sat down near a trunk of the tree with my lamp light and placed my palm on the cool ground. I actually grew out a bunch of bluebells in the dead of the night, and finally, let out a sigh of relief. My headache had finally calmed down.

Suddenly, I heard a twig snap behind me, and I gasped looking into the darkness.

I couldn't see anything, yet at the same time. I could feel high-sourced energy nearby. When I looked into the distance something amongst the dark trees caught my eye.

They looked like two yellow orbs. When I took a closer look, they looked like big curious eyes of an animal, whom I couldn't make out. It then stepped into a little bit of the moonlight, and my heart started rising in fear. I could now make out its silhouette. It looked like a wolf, but it wasn't a normal-looking size.

I'm pretty sure this place we'd come to camp at was a wolf-free zone. Then it suddenly took a whiff of the air around it and then looked right at me and glowed it's feral eyes, freaking me the $hit out.

I quickly ran away grabbed the lamp light and made it back safely to my campsite. Little did I know, that whatever I'd seen in the woods, had followed after me.

A couple of days later, I was in the back garden taking care of the rotting weeds that had grown out and were damaging my roses so 'naturally' I fixed that issue. I was just about done planting the other plants when I heard the doorbell ring.

Lisa was a popular baker in the city I lived in and most of her customers came to collect their orders for those that couldn't I normally delivered it to them.

But the sound of her screaming suddenly made me stand up to my feet. Suddenly I heard a gun shot going off and I rushed towards the patio door, a wild chill ran down my spine, as I saw the guy in the centre had shot her down.

Blood swirled out from her chest and I screamed seeing her ushering me with her last words. Run.

"Don't you dare move!" The guy pointed his weapon at me. He was tall, had a shaved head and had freakishly sharp-looking teeth when he grinned. I immediately froze on the spot and raised my hands up in surrender.

The man with the gun wasn't alone. he had two other guys with him.

Something was off, about these guys. I don't know what it was but I could somehow sense it.

The other guy was blonde, he wore a black leather jacket and started to make his way slowly towards me.

"Bluebells..." The guy spoke calmly and he had a foreign accent. Why was he calling me Bluebells? I glanced at his hands, I saw that he had really black sharp-looking long nails. Ok, that's not normal. He saw me looking at his nails, then suddenly he smirked.

Then he did the weirdest thing. He retracted his long nails, making them look like normal human fingers. I gasped, not understanding what the heck he was.

"It was just an accident, don't look so frightened. Accidents happen right?" Blondie with green eyes, looked at me sharply. The way he spoke, made me feel as if he'd kill people before.

Who the hell were these guys and why the hell did they kill Lisa for?

Lisa was not the type to have any debts, but something told me they weren't strictly speaking loan sharks, nor did they look like her new customers. If they were, Lisa would have already told me about them.

"Yy..You killed her?" I finally managed to say through a broken whisper.

"No, I didn't, my foolish friend Declan did."

"Whoops, my bad Kavyaa."

Kavyaa?!

Red flags were seriously going off in my head. These guys were killers and by the looks of it, they looked professional. How did they know my name? I mean yes you can find anyone's profile online nowadays, and I'm pretty sure I didn't give any one of these bad guys my name!

Looking at Lisa's now dead body, all I could think about was barfing. But I couldn't even do that when that guy had a gun in his hand.

"Relax, bluebells, we don't want to hurt you, do we boys?" Blondie said looking like the ring leader.

The two guys shook their heads answering a big fat NO towards me. But that sounded like a lie, making me take a large gulp, as water bridged my eyes.

"Why don't you come with me and have a little chat in the car?"

"Wh..Why?" I asked obviously unwilling to go.

"Well, we obviously don't want you to chat to the police since you've seen our faces, and ..."

Suddenly, the next-door neighbor came by and was stunned to see Lisa lying in the pool of her blood.

"What in the hell! Kavyaa what's going on here, and who are these people?" Mr Myers asked coming inside in a hurry.

Mr Myers froze when Declan switched the gun to him.

"Mind your business old man."

Mr Myers fell silent as dread came over him.

"Kavyaa? who are these men?"

Before I could answer, Declan beat me to it.

"We're the bad guys."

"Mr Myers run!" I shouted at him, but things suddenly got out of hand fast, when Mr Myers charged at Declan trying to bring him down and get the gun out of his hand.

"Bad move old man." Declan released a low growl scaring Mr Myers the old retired security mall guard. His greying eyes went wide with fear as he realized that there was something truly off about the man he was tackling down.

"Declan don't fire that gun, we don't need more visitors here." Blondie sat on the coach as Declan pushed him off, making him crash into a side table.

Mr Myers grunted in pain as he steadily rose to his feet.

"Don't hurt her. If this is about money, I can give it to you." Mr Myers offered making me suddenly cry out, shaking my head at him. He was putting his life in danger because of me!

"Really, how much you got?" Asked Declan greedily. The other guy then slapped the back of his head, making him grunt out in annoyance. He looked quite more mature than Declan.

"It's not about the money old man. We're here because of her." The Asian guy simply put it.

"Whh..Why? I haven't done anything! Mr Myers I swear I haven't seen this man before in my life!"

"So what? Our boss over there has."

Declan said darting his eyes over to blondie who simply gave me a valid smile.

"Please, just let Mr Myers go." I pleaded to stay glued to my spot.

Blondie now walked over to me, and observed me with his deep forest green eyes. I couldn't help but notice, but he had quite a dark beauty that graced his face. He was nodoubt a handsome devil.

His presence was so alarming up close, that I couldn't help but shed a tear.

"My aren't we demanding?" He whispered, taking a strange whiff at my head. I heard him release a very low growl that sent shivers down my spine.

He then put a hand around my shoulder and suddenly licked the side of my cheek, making me internally squirm. This crazy psycho!

"Hmm, your tears taste so sweet and delicious."

"Pl..Please. Dd..Don't hurt him." I whispered out, shaking like a leaf as I felt his immense power before me. It was hard to explain. He looked human. Yet looking closely at his eyes, I could see flecks of yellow in them. I was too afraid to even ask, what kind of monster he was.

"I'm afraid, Mr Myers has seen us, sweetheart." Blondie walked away from me leaving me speechless.

"Alpha Kane, we have other methods to get rid of him. [Declan looks at his other friend discreetly.] Shiro?"

Shiro suddenly takes out a dagger and then kills Mr Myers making me scream out in shock.

Seeing as they were distracted by another dead body on the wooden floor, I quickly turned on my heel and ran for the woods at the back of the house.

Declan went to chase after her, but Kane quickly stopped him.

"What are you doing?"

"Going after her?"

Kane, then sucker punched Declan, who immediately fell to the floor from his impact. Declan immediately lowered his raging eyes before Kane decided to kill him with his dangerous claws.

"Declan this chase is mine, you and

Shiro have to clean up this mess."

He pointed at the dead bodies.

"I saw miss bluebells first, so I'll be the one to claim her."

"Claim her? Wait, don't you have a mate, Alpha Kane?" Shiro asked in confusion.

"Listen, guys. This girl is special to me, even then my mate, and if you two value your precious little lives, you will not tell her about Kavyaa."

He glowed his eyes dangerously yellow, making his suburbanites lower their heads into submission.

Kane turned his attention towards the direction she ran off to and smirked to himself.

For he loved it when his prey ran from him.
