When Levy was inside talking on the phone to one of his elite body guards, he sensed a familiar presence outside. He just shrugged it off saying he was overthinking, not until he heard a familiar voice outside. He abruptly dropped his phone without ending the call.
"Boss? sir?" the person from the other end called out
"Do as I say Miles. Drop the call." Levy said with such authority that could make any man shudder. With that said, Levy walked towards the door and called out..
"Who's there?" when nobody answered, he opened the door and was surprised on seeing those innocent and pale brown eyes. He was surprised because the last time he had set his eyes on those pair of eyes, they were the brightest he had ever seen and now they hold nothing but pain and suffering.
"L-levy?" Matilda stammered. God! When was the last time she saw those pair of ocean eyes? Three years ago.
Levy smirked, that singnature smirk that only belongs to him. Oh gods! how she has missed this man and his smirks. Matilda almost slapped herself for thinking about that.
"Oh Matilda, you remember my name." he said while the smirk kept playing at the corner of his lips. "How nice of you and come see me after 3 years." "Come i_" he was suddenly cut off by Matilda.
"I am not here to play Levy. I came here to drop these files and I am leaving" She said with finality in her voice and proceeded to walk into the large office. Matilda dropped the files on the desk and headed outside making sure she did not look around the office. She had just stepped out of the office when suddenly, strong arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her towards him. Her body was hit against strong chest. Shocked, she looked up and met a pair of blazing ocean eyes.
"Matilda, are you testing my patience?" An obsidian voice filled with malice thundered. Matilda almost shook, but she reminded herself not to show any fear to this man in front of her.
"Why do you think I am testing your patience?" she retaliated confidently not caring that the man she is talking to is Levy Xi. Suddenly, everywhere went cold. If Matilda had not known well, she would have taught that it was snowing in the middle of summer. But she was not a fool not to know that the coldness was coming from this man in front of her. Everywhere was so cold that Matilda started to shiver.
"Levy?" Matilda spoke. The man with blazing eyes began to mellow down and suddenly, everywhere became normal.
"Matilda, why do you like doing this to yourself?" He asked tucking some strands of her black her behind her ears. "You know that I own here and you decided to work here. Could it be that you missed me?" He asked again this time, looking at her intently not wanting to miss any one of her reactions. Of course, how could she not work here when he had seized her work permit for 3 years not allowing any company to take her in. Leaving her with no choice but to work here. And missing him, she hated to admit but she missed him. She missed him so much that she thought about him every night before she went to bed. This man had done so many things to her that for 3 years, she couldn't forget him.
"I don't miss you not even for a minute for the past 3 years Levy, and I know that you own here. But I don't care about that. Now let me go" she told him and the man could only sigh and let go of her. Seeing that he has let go of her, she turned away and walked out of there. When she got to the elevator, she opened it, stepped in and pressed the button for the ground floor. As the elevator was about to close, someone's hand blocked it and it was Levy.
"Now, don't worry Matilda, I will make the most of it now that you are working here." That dark and velvety voice spoke.
"That is if you will ever see me" Matilda said causing Levy to smile. A very menancing smile. A smile that could make anyone's skin crawl. He retracted is hand and the elevator closed leaving a man with a smirk playing on his lips walking away.
