Chapter 1 - Prologue - Their Birth and Kidnapping

This is the story of how I died.

On a tree, in the middle of a forest, was a tan-yellow-ish paper pinned by a few nails. On the paper was the picture of a young man with some chin stubble, black swoopy hair and . . .  a horrendous nose.

The top of the paper said: WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE

then underneath the picture said: FLYNN RIDER: THIEF

But don't worry,

This is actually a very fun story, and the truth is, it isn't even mine.

This is the story of a girl named Rapunzel

And a boy named Theadore.

And it all starts,

With the sun.

- - - - - - - - - -

Once upon a time,

A single drop of sunlight fell from the heavens.

A small droplet of glowing yellow fell from dark gray clouds, it fell and fell and fell. until the clouds were finally out of sight and it saw the ground.

And from this small drop of sun,

The droplet hit the ground with a barely audible splash. a second or two went by before a green seedling spirited and grew, grew, and grew until a golden, glowing flower bloomed. Right where the droplet of sun had landed.

Grew a magic, golden flower.

It had the ability to heal the sick, and injured.

Then an old hunched over woman with a dark red cloak and green lantern came out from behind a mossy rock. she was stunned to see such a beautiful flower, that she couldn't resist reaching out with his boney, wrinkly fingers to touch it.

Oh, you see that old woman,

Over there?

You might want to remember her.

She's kind of important.

- - - - - - - - - -

Well, centuries passed

And a hop, skip, and a boat ride away

There grew a kingdom.

The kingdom was ruled by

A beloved King and Queen.

A portrait of a slightly old couple, both with brown hair and green eyes. The King had his hand rested on his wife's, the Queen's, shoulder. The Queen was standing next to him, both with soft smiles on their faces.

And the Queen

Well, she was about to have a baby. Two actually.

In a large bedchamber, The Queen, Arianne, was laid on the king-sized bed with a big belly and multiple pillows behind her head. She was pale and very visibly sick, The King, Frederic, was seated by her bedside, holding her hand in his.

But she got sick.

The Queen looked at her husband, He had unshed tears in his eyes as he gripped his wife's hand. Almost like he was silently begging her to not leave him.

Really sick.

Once the ocean outside of the kingdom, there were hundreds of ships filled with soldiers and citizens alike holding lanterns. They were sailing across the ocean to find anything to cure the Queen.

She was running out of time,

And that's when people start to look for

A miracle.

Once the ships made it, the soldiers and citizens started piling out and wandering everywhere. Searching.

 Or in this case,

A magical golden flower.

The old woman from before was back in the forest. Swinging her green lantern around, looking.

Ah! I told you

                     She'd be important.

The old wrinkly woman set her lantern down next to her and crouched to the ground, before carefully removing a dome made out of leaves.

It was covering, or hiding, the Magical golden flower.

You see,

Instead of sharing the sun's gift,

This woman, Mother Gothel, hoarded its healing power.

The old woman looked both ways, left and right, and made sure that no one was around.

And used it to keep herself

Young for hundreds of years.

And all she had to do

Was sing a special song.

The old woman knelt back down before removing her hood, revealing long white-gray curly hair.

The old woman held her hands out in front of her, before she started singing:

|🎶 Flower, gleam and glow 🎶 |

The old woman let her hands hover at the sides of the Flower.

The flower glowed brighter and brighter the more she sang.

|🎶 Let your power shine 🎶|

|🎶Make the clock reverse🎶|

|🎶Bring back what once was mine🎶|

|🎶What once was mine🎶|

As the old woman was singing, she kept getting youthfuler (? Is that a word?) until she finally finished singing and was as youthful and beautiful as a young 20-ish year old? She had long, silky curly black hair, soft and smooth skin, and her hands weren't boney or wrinkly anymore.

Alright, You get the gist.

She sings to it,

She turns young.

Creepy, right?

All of a sudden, Mother Gothel heard speaking coming from near her spot. Her youthful face contorted to one of panic and fear. She looked behind her, before quickly covering the flower up again and running away.

But not before her lantern hit the leaf dome, knocking it over.

Making the Golden flower visible.

Mother Gothel climbed up and into the forest, her cloak ruffling behind her as she hid away.

Just in time before a couple of soldiers dressing in red and gold armor made their way to the spot where she once sat.

The soldiers saw the golden flower.

And with it, Brought hope.

"We found it!"

Soon two soldiers had dug out the flower, Stem and roots included. They carefully lifted it out of the ground.

Meanwhile, Mother Gothel was watching everything from her hiding spot. She narrowed her eyes when she saw the soldiers taking her Flower away.

The magic of the

Golden flower healed the Queen.

Back at the castle, The flower was dropped into a bowl of water. The glowing flower in turn made the water slowly fade to a golden color.

The King held the bowl of golden water up to the Queen's mouth, Allowing her to drink it while she laid down.

A healthy baby girl and boy,

A princess and A prince were born,

In a white bassinet, there laid a cute baby girl with golden hair and green eyes. She was wearing a small light blue baby dress.

Next to the princess was a baby boy that looked the exact same as her, except the boys eyes were a slightly lighter green. He was wearing the same dress as his sister but his was a light green color.

Both babies were laid next to each other, both fascinated with the mobile slowly spinning above them.

With beautiful golden hair.

To the side of the bassinet, was the twin's parents. They were both so happy to see that they had healthy babies. Healthy and energetic ones.

They laughed a bit when they heard the baby girl cooing as she teethed on her feet. The baby boy was hugging his sister's arm, cuddling up to her.

The Queen leant in and gently picked up the baby girl while the King picked up the baby boy.

And although the baby boy was whining a bit from being separated from his sister, he was content with being in his father's arms.

The Queen laughed softly as she put her cheek to her daughter's forehead before doing the same to her son, both of the babies cooing.

I'll give you a hint,

The King handed the baby boy over to his wife as he went and retrieved something. He came back and sat 2 beautiful crowns with see-through jewels on the babies heads.

That's Rapunzel,

And Theadore.

The crowns were a bit too big for the babies, they each slipped down a little. Making the twins giggle.

To celebrate their birth,

King Frederic held a lit candle underneath a flying lantern, allowing it to light up.

Arianna was holding Rapunzel and Theadore, Once Frederic was done lighting the flying lantern, He took Theadore from Arianna. They both then had one hand on the lantern, each holding a baby.

The King and Queen launched

A flying lantern into the sky.

They slowly pushed it up, the Twins trying to do the same, and watched as the lantern floated up and up and up. The citizens below cheering loudly.

Everyone was watching the lantern with the symbol of the sun on it.

And for that one moment,

Everything was perfect.

It was night time, and the moon was full. The balcony windows, in the King and Queen's chamber, slowly creaked open.

And then that moment ended.

A shadow was suddenly cast on the twins that were laying side by side, asleep as they cuddled up to each other.

|🎶 Flower, gleam and glow 🎶|

A high pitched, dry voice suddenly sang softly.

The Twins hair started glowing pure gold as a wrinkly hand started reaching for them.

The wrinkly, Boney hand's each grabbed a strand of the Twin's past shoulder length hair. The hands skin becoming softer and smoother the more they sang,

|🎶 Let your power shine 🎶|

That person, turned out to be Mother Gothel. Her ugly, wrinkly face started becoming beautiful again.

She carefully held the hair strands with one hand as her other hand took out a pair of silver scissors. She quickly took a snip at the Twin's hair,

|🎶 Make the clock . . . 🎶|

However . . . . .

When she cut their hair, The hair suddenly faded from golden  . . . to brown.

Mother Gothel gasped, turning back to the hunched, wrinkly old woman she was before.

And the rest of the hair strands that she cut also turned brown, which stood out from the rest of their blonde hair.

Gothel broke into the castle,

Arianna and Frederic were awoken to the sound of crying, They sat up quickly and looked to where the sound was coming from.

Stole the children,

There, at the balcony windows, was Gothel as she had the Twins wrapped up in her cloak as she was on the other side of the railing.

And just like that,

Gone!

She looked back before sneering and pulling the cloak in front of her, then she simply disappeared. And so did the Princess and Prince.

The Kingdom searched and searched,

But they could not find the Princess and Prince.

A tower, Hidden behind a canopy of leaves, surrounded by gigantic boulders.

For deep within the forest,

In a hidden tower,

Gothel raised the children as her own.

There, in the tower, sat an old Gothel in a chair with the Twins seated in front of her. Her hands were focused on brushing Rapunzel's glowing hair, While Theadore's glowing hair was draped across her lap as they sang the sound she taught them.

|🎶 Save what has been lost 🎶|

|🎶 Bring back what once was mine 🎶|

|🎶 What once was mine 🎶|

Once Rapunzel and Theadore were finished singing, Gothel was as youthful as always with a smile on her face.

Gothel found her new magic flower(s),

But this time, She was determined to keep it (them) hidden.

Gothel continued to brush Rapunzel's hair, When Rapunzel suddenly asked in her soft, high-pitched voice,

"Why can't we go outside?"

She was holding Theadore's hand, while he was nodding off to sleep. This always happened, he always felt sleepy after singing that song. So he wasn't too concerned with his mother and sisters' conversation, though he too was a bit curious as to why they couldn't leave the tower.

Mother Gothel answered, "The outside world is a dangerous place, filled with horrible, selfish people. You must stay here, where you're safe. Do you understand, Flowers?"

"Yes, Mommy."

It was night time, the fire in the fireplace had gone out.

But the walls of that tower could not hide everything.

Two pairs of small feet slowly snuck down the stairs, long silky hair following behind the two.

Rapunzel was holding her brother's hand, half-dragging him as he was still sleepy, and the two quickly tip-toed past their mothers bedroom.

Each year on their birthday,

The king and Queen released

Thousands of lanterns into the sky,

Rapunzel let go of her twin brothers hand and opened the doors in front of the window/door.

She then dragged over to the opening, letting him lean on her as they looked out the window at the sky.

In hope that one day,

Their lost princess and Prince

. . . .

Would return.

Rapunzel and Theadore were entranced by the lanterns floating across the sky, they loved seeing them. Especially with each other.

They sighed contently, Rapzunel and Theadore leaning against each other as they watched the sky become filled with glowing lanterns.
