“So, did it work?” Belladonna’s voice called back his attention.

“But we can try some other time. Right now, you must rest.”
“I don't need rest. My sister and—”
“Your mind has to heal. You will be useless otherwise.”
She finally nodded in defeat and went back to bed, while Alaris left the cave to train the warriors.
No one knew what the White King was planning, they had to be prepared.

Alaris didn't want to agree when Ny'ka had come to him and told him that she couldn't find a good student in the cave that could be taught Channelling.
