I spend the next few days avoiding Kincaid.
Today is the day before the next game. All the contestants were organising the arena. The matron likes to keep us on our toes, making us arrange the arena for our next game. Who knows what she has planned for tomorrow. The other girls are snappish towards me and I just gave Sophia a taste of her on medicine but all it seemed to do was inflame the other contestants.
Matron seems to notice my plight and sens me on an errand seperate from the rest of the contestants.
I'm supposed to retrieve something from The orphanage.
Entering the orphanage I feel the stark contrast of this place compared to the orphanage back at my pack. Here I could feel the love and the warm, bright colours enveloping about me makes me feel welcomed.

The matron sent me to get three boxes of children's books.
Hold on a bit let me go get it from the back.
I stand there waiting when a little girl approaches me with her teddy bear and she offers me the teddy bear smiling.
Thank you. What's his name?
She puts her fore finger into her mouth but doesn't respond. I ruffle her hair and give her back her teddy.
Thank you for sharing him with me.
She gives me a toothy smile and I smile back at her.
Miss Caroline hands over the first of the boxes to me.
I'll be back for the rest. She nods
I see Susie has made a new friend.
Susie is that her name? I ask pointing at the little girl

She usually doesn't approach people she doesn't know but it seems she likes you.
I smile once again at Susie and head out the door.
As I walk back to the matron's office I notice someone watching me and I look up and see him looking at me through his office window.
Dropping the box in the matrons office, I decide to go get the rest. Stepping out of her office, I bump into Kincaid.

I keep on walking, ignoring him. As I reach a door at the end of the corridor, he is suddenly behind me and pulls me inside. Before I could ask what, his lips are on mine, kissing me so dangerously. I whimper and press myself into him.
I shouldn't be doing this, I should be giving the other girls a chance, I should win him fair and square.
Unfortunately I can't seem to explain that to my body. It wants him and him alone. Wrapping my hands around his neck, I pull him closer. A moan escaping my lips.
