Monday morning. The day most decide is the worst day of the week but for Topher this day was going to be one of many unusual days. Topher had wavy white hair, light blue eyes and was 5'7. Nothing was unusual about him, he thought of himself as just another average Joe. Just another 14 year old. Yet he would be very wrong, for his father takes part in the "Tace Project", not much is known about this project. Topher hates it, he doesn't know anything about it, but he really hates it because it takes up most of his father's time. The project seems to be his father's life with no room for loved ones. Topher wanted that to change so he skipped school that day and followed his father to work.
Topher's dad was called Alfie Primero, he wore thick glasses, he was 6'1 and had a dark brown beard to accompany his brown hair. The Tace Project had taken place underground, it was all so futuristic. Neon blue was everywhere, half the things in there were relics which had been lost in time and the other half were items which were thought to be myth. Topher started at this all in pure astonishment, he could not believe what he had laid his eyes upon, his astonishment got quickly replaced with shock when an alarm went off. "Intruder Alert, Intruder Alert". Topher knew he was done for now, he couldn't hide away from a whole agency and even if he managed to pull it off there was no way he could escape his father as he did not know the way home from the isolated work place. Topher ran away in fear, no one had spotted him yet, he wondered why the alert went off if no one had caught him or saw him. Maybe Topher wasn't the reason why the alarm went off, maybe someone else was? Topher had no time to think of that though, he only had time to run. He came to a sudden halt when he heard footsteps coming towards him, Topher saw a handsome man of 6'3 and dark brown hair with a fair skin complexion run past him with a device in his right hand, immediately 10 agents were chasing after him without breaking a sweat. Topher figured that the man was the intruder and that he probably stole that device, what was the device for though? What could it do? Topher decided to walk in the opposite direction of all the hassle, it wasn't his problem to deal with anyways. That's what he thought atleast. He stumbled upon a corridor with a sign which read "Tace Project Patient's 236 - 374", the corridor gave Topher a chill up his spine. His breathe echoed from his end of the corridor to the other. It was isolated. Topher carefully treaded through the corridor while being weary for any more agents which would come his way. Topher heard a faint cry, was it the intruder? Was it something else? Topher had no clue, all he could do is keep walking forwards in hope for an exit to this new bizarre world. He wondered if his dad worked for MI6, it was the only logical thing that came to mind even if it did sound unbelievable, Topher just didn't want to find out what his father was hiding from him. Topher didn't want to know anymore because he's now scared to find out the truth, the more he knows, the worse the situation would get. The further he went down the corridor, the cry only grew louder. Topher rapidly darted for the shiny iron doors, he turned his head to the right and caught a glimpse of a child around his age locked up in a cell made out of glass. The kid had brown hair and freckles, the weirdest thing about him is that his eyes glowed blue but Topher did not have time to stop and stare at the caged child as he had just reached the door. he ran out the doors and climbed up the rocky path within a big tunnel underground, when he reached the surface he realised it was the middle of the night, 1:20 A.M to be exact. He had been within those twisted walls for over a day yet it felt like 2 hours at the most, maybe the stress of it all messed with his head. He saw a man with a plump belly and a rough beard approach him, Topher scrambled back in fear.
"Oi lad, what you been doing over here?" asked the man, his breathe reeked of beer.
"Just having a midnight stroll," Topher nervously chuckled to the man.
"Ah, cus for a moment I thought you were lost. This is a bad place to be lost don't you think? After all this is the Paranormal Zone." Replied the man.
"Eh? What's that?" asked Topher in curiosity.
"Supposedly freaky stuff happens right around 'ere, people say its ghost, some believe it's some creepy cult stuff, but I say it's the wok of the devil which happens here. Every night I come here at 3AM because I hear hundreds of little screams, children in anguish, people being tortured. I need to know where the screams are coming from, do you know?" Asked the man.
"No, like I said, midnight stroll. Anyways see you," said Topher while jogging off into the distance.
