The next morning she finds Emily at her home with her
friend Ellen. They sit and drink coffee while watching a
movie together and gossiping.
Emily Dickinson:
You know Helen, it's not enough time, not even 1 month,
that I met quite by accident at first, with a guy.
Friend' s Ellen:
Well, and are you telling me now? 1 month and I'm
learning it now?
Emily Dickinson:
Haha good things are slow to happen. And the kind words
to be said, as it seems.
Friend' s Ellen:
Yes, as it seems. And what type is that?
Emily Dickinson:
Oh, he's a police officer in the New York service. I was
asked for my help in something and so I met him.
Friend' s Ellen:
But you said by accident.
Emily Dickinson:
Yes, first of all. I met him outside the theater when I
stumbled and he ran to help me. Then I met him again in
his service.
Friend' s Ellen:
Yes. And how are things going with him?
Emily Dickinson:
Very well. We traveled and together a trip.
Friend' s Ellen:
Travel? Where? And you didn't tell me anything.
Emily Dickinson:
Yes a trip, because of work. That's where we made love.
Friend' s Ellen:
Haha what do I hear my love? So is it serious?
Emily Dickinson:
That's how it looks. But let's leave that. But what about
you?
Friend' s Ellen:
With me? Nothing special, as you knew them. No news.
Emily Dickinson:
Yes. They are lucky. And don't think of me, because of
luck...
Friend' s Ellen:
Yes, luck and mood.
Emily and Ellen continue to watch the film until it's
over. On the other side, Jack is finally coffee at his
neighbors' house.
Mrs. Stevenson:
There you have it, Mr Jack. I made it with my hands. It's
millefeuille. I hope you like it. With coffee it fits as
it should.
Jack Rowland:
Oh, thank you, Mrs. Stevenson. My favorite dessert. What
luck to achieve it today. And even with your hands.
Mrs. Stevenson:
Since it is your favorite dessert to take another piece.
I will prepare you a little for the house. Have to eat
there too.
Jack Rowland:
Haha Be well. I very much appreciate it on your part. You
rarely know nowadays a neighbor takes care of the
neighbor in such a beautiful way. Usually only the
typical good morning and nothing else applies.
Mrs. Stevenson:
You are right. It is a big mistake of the time and
unfair. It would ever be different with us I think, since
that's how our two homes are forever.
Jack Rowland:
That is indeed the case.
Mrs. Stevenson:
But what happened, we have completely lost you lately.
Jack Rowland:
You know I was away because of work, a little trip and I
couldn't see you and your husband. But really where is
your husband?
Mrs. Stevenson:
Oh, he's gone to find his luck! Haha joking. He's gone to
play a lotto. He saw some numbers in his sleep last night
and so he said...
Jack Rowland:
I even understood. And I do the same from time to time.
We are all pretty much looking for our luck.
Mrs. Stevenson:
Haha yes, so it is...
Jack Rowland:
Excuse me though , I have to go. You know I have a lot of
work to do and I'm in a hurry to finish...
Mrs. Stevenson:
I understand. It's a lot of hard work and tedious. Be
careful. But wait a minute for me to give you the
dessert...
Jack Rowland:
Oh, Mrs. Stevenson, thank you. Give my greetings to your
husband. We'll see you again.
Mrs. Stevenson:
Certainly. Have a nice day.
Jack came out of the neighbor's house with the sweet in
his hands and headed home, walked in.
Jack Rowland is in his office and working when his
service phone rings. At the other end of the line is the
officer. She invites him to his office. Jack goes to the
officer's office. He knocks on the door and walks in.
Jack Rowland:
You asked me, Mr. Officer. What would you like?
Officer:
Yes, I asked you as a police officer. I would like you to
tell me how the investigations into the construction
company's case are going.
Jack Rowland:
You know, Officer, we don't have any developments in the
case yet. Some separate things on their own that I'm
trying to tie up but I don't have the proof yet...
Officer:
I understood policing. I hope that the case will go ahead
and that we will finally come to a solution.
Jack Rowland:
And that's what I believe, with all due respect.
Officer:
Ok, I won't need you anymore you can go.
Jack exits the officer's office and closes the door. He
heads to his office. He walks in and after a while his
phone rings. He picks it up. It's Emily.
Jack Rowland:
Yes, Emily? What joy is that?
Emily Dickinson:
The same for me Jack. What would you say if we met
tonight around 9:00 at night?
Jack Rowland:
Very nice Emily. Yes I would like that.
Emily Dickinson:
Nicely. I will pass by to take you out of your house;
Jack Rowland:
Okay, I'll be waiting for you Emily. Kissing.
Emily Dickinson:
Good follow-up Jack. Kissing.
After the time passed and Jack Rowland finished his job,
he left his job and went home. There, after eating and
resting a little, he got ready for 9:00. Just before
9:00, Emily is outside Jack's house. Jack looks out the
window. He sees her taking his things and coming out of
the house. He gets into Emily's car. It starts. As they
move on they say.
Jack Rowland:
What do you do Emily? I hope you're well.
Emily Dickinson:
I'm fine, Mr. Rowland. Today I said to take you on a
journey to something completely new.
Jack Rowland:
I hear you on a journey. I always look forward to
traveling with you how and how. But what will it be?
Emily Dickinson:
You'll see. You will see it up close. That's all I can
tell you, because you're very smart and...
Jack Rowland:
And I'll figure it all out Emily , right?
Emily Dickinson:
That's right Jack.
After a while, Emily and Jack arrive at one of the
Masonic lodges in New York City. They get out of the car,
and Emily directs Jack into it. They come in and Jack
becomes a member of Freemasonry. After finishing with
Jack's initiation ceremony, Emily and he exit the arcade
and get into Emily's car. She takes him home and they say
goodnight.
The evening of the next day finds Emily alone this time,
being in the Masonic gallery and attending the ritual.
Emily's grade in Freemasonry is that of "Adoniramian".
She is told how next time she should come into contact
with a greater degree of masons. She agrees. This contact
will take place in another place outside the gallery. It
will be something special and exquisite. They give her
the address. Then " Mishraim-Memphis" comes in, wears a
mask on her face, Emily doesn't. " Mishraim - Memphis "
is the shipowner Andrea Rosildi. Rosildi, fascinated by
Emily's beauty, can't pull his eyes off her. After this
first intercourse has been completed, Emily leaves the
arcade and goes to her house.
Inside the mansion of shipowner, a large space of the
house is remodeled, because in the evening there will be a
special ceremony in it. There will be a lot of people.
Rosildi informs all staff.
At her home, Emily, this time, is preparing for the
moment when she will become a degree superior in
Freemasonry. After taking a shower, she dresses, combs
and prepares for today's evening. She takes her bag and
comes out of the house. He enters the car and goes to the
address where the paper is written. He arrives outside
the villa and parks. Her clerk opens the door. He walks
in. He heads to the entrance and enters the mansion. He
sees the space. They tell her to head to the specially
designed area. There he wears the clothes of the masons.
He walks in and waits with the rest of the world. The
specially initiated will stay in the second round, when
the uninitiated have left the space. The first ceremony
begins. The high priest enters and begins the ceremony.
Suddenly Emily feels a little unwell and comes out of the
room. A little dizziness. Rosildi then comes out of her,
and Rosildi wears a small mask on his face; he goes next
to her and tells her:
Andrea Rosildi:
I saw you that you didn't feel good, and I said to see
how you are? Are you okay?
Emily Dickinson:
Oh, a little dizziness. Thank you.
Andrea Rosildi:
What would you say if we were passing in a bedroom to lie
down a little and rest?
Emily Dickinson:
I wouldn't want to bother you. It will pass me by. Thank
you.
Andrea Rosildi:
But I insist. Your color is bright yellow and I'm afraid
you might faint. Come please, I hear nothing.
Then Emily and Rosildi go to a bedroom of the villa to
lie down. They go inside and lie down. Rosildi , fascinated by Emily Dickinson, can't take his eyes off
her. He brings her some water.
Andrea Rosildi:
That's for you. A little water. Drinking will do you
good.
Emily Dickinson:
Thank you. I'm already starting to feel better. We have
to go though. The ceremony continues and we will miss it.
I assure you how I feel better.
Andrea Rosildi:
Ok I don't insist. If you feel better let's go. Oh, don't
worry about the ceremony now it will be the second round.
We have time.
They both go to the specially designed area of Rosildi
and there is an increase in Dickinson's grade. After the
ceremony is over, Dickinson gets undressed takes her
things and leaves the mansion.
Friday morning and Emily is at her office at the bank. It
has a heavy workload, appointments and of course balance
sheets in front of it. Then it doesn't take long and the
phone rings. He is the high priest of Freemasonry. He
tells her that there will be a new appointment tomorrow
Saturday afternoon to evening. They tell her to bring
with her other initiates with her, confidential like her.
He tells them okay and hangs up. He then doesn't miss the
opportunity to call Jack and suggest tomorrow night.
Jack Rowland:
Yes, forth Emily?
Emily Dickinson:
Good morning Jack. I call you for something very serious.
What would you say if you came with me to a ceremony
tomorrow?
Jack Rowland:
Of course I'll tell you straight away. Should I
through your house or will you pass by?
Emily Dickinson:
Better to have a pass you. I will be waiting for you
around 10:00.
Jack Rowland:
Okay Emily, I'll be there. I kiss you.
Emily hangs up the phone, and continues with the bank
business.
Emily is ready for this very strange ceremony today. The
high priest has never called her before on the phone at
the bank to ask for such a thing. It was done each time
with its presence in an arcade. This time it was
different. It doesn't take long for Jack to arrive at
Emily's house. She's waiting for him outside of it. He
boards his car and they leave. She tells him to go to The
Dacota building, this historic and famous Building in New
York City. In one of its specially designed spaces,
today's ceremony will take place. It is named: The
unveiling. Jack and Emily get out of the car on a
Saturday night and head towards the building . They
enter. After they enter, they wear them. Their uniforms
and headed to the room. There they stay and wait for the
high priest and "Mishraim- Memphis". The high priest
enters and begins the ceremony. Halfway through the
ceremony, he stops and starts talking.
High Priest:
Today the ceremony will have a different, distinct
character than the others. The unveiling ceremony will
take place. It has never happened before, because today's
unveiling is something special and unique throughout the
earth and throughout its history. Please, give the
appropriate attention and of course your respect. Then I
will ask "Mishraim- Memphis", to perform the unveiling.
Next to them exactly an object is covered with a
handkerchief and is not visible. It's the unveiling. But
"Mishraim-Memphis" , i.e. the shipowner Andrea Rosildi,
enters with a mask as always, to reveal the object. The
high priest says a wish. He then asks "Mishraim-Memphis"
to pull the handkerchief. He pulls it and then the cross
of Pontius Pilate is revealed from Milan. The high priest
begins to explain the identity of the cross, when Jack Rowland and Emily Dickinson are left with their mouths
open. Jack Rowland doesn't do anything to stop the
ceremony, nor does he betray his identity. Perhaps it is
an effigy of the cross. He doesn't know. He doesn't want
to embarrass Emily. They stay until the end until the
ceremony is over. But he doesn't lose sight of "Mishraim
- Memphis", he tries to figure out who is hiding under
the mask of the man. The ceremony ends and each member
leaves separately, while Emily and Jack leave together.
He takes her to her house, without saying a word.
Wednesday night and Emily and her friend are out at the
cinema. They watch an adventure in her first film
screening. After the project is finished they return
home. At 11:00 in the evening at her home, Emily receives
a phone call. It is again from the high priest. He asks
her this time to attend another ceremony. It's New Year's
Eve. He tells her it's urgent and personal. She accepts.
He tells her she should be alone and gives her the
address. It is one of the villas of shipowner Andrea
Rosildi. Again, she has no idea of the place where the
appointment was given. She quickly prepares herself and
comes out of the house to go to the appointment. It
doesn't take long for her to get to the place. She is
headed to the entrance. She is opened. She enters. She
sees no other world. But she sees the high priest and the
shipowner "Mishraim - Memphis", to wait for her. Emily,
terrified and unable to understand, tries to stay calm.
The high priest then says.
High Priest:
I asked you for this little date, because "Mishraim- Memphis" wanted to get to know you better.
Emily Dickinson:
To get to know me better?
High Priest:
Yes, what I told you. He told me that he was lucky enough
to treat you the first time and how he could not get to
know you better that day. Well, I now have to leave you.
I want you to say it at your leisure.
Andrea Rosildi:
Excuse me for this rude act of mine, to lie to you, that
today will be another ceremony, but I had the need and
the desire to get to know you better. And of course to
see if you are okay...
Emily Dickinson:
Do you get to know me better?
Andrea Rosildi:
Yes, sometimes you know it is customary in the higher
faces of our heresy. That is why they are differentiated
from the lower members.
Emily Dickinson:
Yes, I understand.
Andrea Rosildi:
What would you say if I offered you a drink?
Emily Dickinson:
Drink? Is it possible?
Andrea Rosildi:
Haha but of course it is allowed. Please here you go.
Emily Dickinson:
Thank you.
Andrea Rosildi:
What would you say if we danced this song? Or will you
faint like last time? Haha
Emily Dickinson:
They have never suggested to me in such a way that we
dance. Haha Let it be. Let's dance.
Emily and Rosildi dance the dance with this mysterious
soft music. Then Rosildi starts kissing her on the mouth.
She kisses him too. They go to the bedroom while they
undress. Then Emily takes the mask off Rosildi's face.
She is speechless and terrified. She finds an excuse and
walks away from the room, while Rosildi runs behind her.
He opens the door and leaves. She gets into her car and
runs furiously. She arrives at her house. It quickly gets
inside. Trembling and crying on her face, she goes to
take a bath. She bathes while crying. He discovered in
the most tragic and vulgar way who is ultimately the
great mason who hid behind the mask and the position of
the greatest mason. The shipowner Andrea Rosildi! And
even the culprit with the cross and the drawings of
Italy, finishes the bathroom, dresses and heads to her
bedroom to sleep.
Jack Rowland is at his New Year's House in the living
room and watches TV when suddenly his phone rings. At the
other end of the line is Emily Dickinson.
Jack Rowland:
Yes, Emily? How glad I am on New Year's Day today that
you remembered me! You know I am and I will be on my
own...
Emily Dickinson:
Jack , how glad I am to hear you too. You know if it's
not hard for you to like to be here this New Year's
Night.
Jack Rowland:
Very gladly Emily. You would like in my house, in your
house...
Emily Dickinson:
I'd like out Jack. If you can please, I would like to
meet somewhere outside.
Jack Rowland:
Okay Emily as you want. How about Riverside Church, it's
New Year's Day today.
Emily Dickinson:
Yes okay. We will meet outside the church. I'll wait for
you.
Jack Rowland:
Okay Emily, see you there.
Outside the church, Jack waits for Emily. It's New Year's
Night. 11:00 in the evening. After a while always formal
on her date, Emily meets Jack. He goes to her and he hugs
her.
Jack Rowland:
How glad I am that tonight New Year's Night, we will be
together. You know I'd spend that night alone.
Emily Dickinson:
And I rejoice Jack for this meeting. Apart from the
celebration, it is also something else that I would like
to tell you.
Jack Rowland:
Something else? I hear you Emily, what would you like to
tell me?
Emily Dickinson:
Here's something very tragic going on. I was able to
discover something horrible. Who is ultimately the thief
of the plans and the cross itself!
Jack Rowland:
To find out you said who the thief is? But how? In other
words, how could you be on your own and with what
elements to...
Emily Dickinson:
Behind "Mishraim-Memphis" hides the shipowner Andrea
Rosildi, that is, he is the same.
Jack Rowland:
Is it Andrea Rosildi? But how could you see that?
Emily Dickinson:
You know I had to attend a ceremony for the high faces of
Freemasonry. There, after the atoms are counted on the
fingers of one hand, the unveiling of "Mishraim- Memphis"
takes place. He took off his mask and I saw him.
Jack Rowland:
Take off his mask and you saw him?
Emily Dickinson:
Yes, it is the unveiling ceremony of the greatest
freemason. I didn't know what to do at the time. But I
kept my composure and said straight away to confide in
it. Jack you have to run to catch him before it's too
late...
Jack Rowland:
I understand. But are you sure of all the things you tell
me? I know that shipowner Andrea Rosildi is involved in a
lot but this...
Emily Dickinson:
With all the seriousness and certainty that possesses me,
I tell you the truth.
Jack Rowland:
Okay Emily. I believe you. Already the evidence opposite
him is enough. I will immediately establish his arrest
against him. But let's go outside in a moment the
countdown to New Year's Day begins.
Emily Dickinson:
Let's go yes. They will be amazing.
Emily and Jack come out of the church. They are waiting
for the countdown to Begin for New Year's Day. After a
while 5,4,3,2,1,0 fireworks began to fall into the sky
and colored balloons. Jack and Emily hugged, kissed and
wished for the new year.
Jack Rowland:
Always with us the years Emily, jerky and joyful like
these festive fireworks and balloons. Always be well and
together.
Emily Dickinson:
Thanks Jack. Always happy, healthy and successful to be
the years I wish.
Jack Rowland:
What would you say if we continued the evening at the
Hudson Theatre?
Emily Dickinson:
Very gladly Jack. Let's go yes.
Emily and Jack after spending a wonderful evening in the
theater they said goodnight to each other and went home.
At midnight after Jack was home, he decided to call his
duty officer to inform him of the progress of the case.
She calls him.
Officer:
Yes, please?
Jack Rowland:
Excuse me for the inappropriateness of the hour, Mr.
Officer, but something very serious is happening and you
have to act immediately.
Officer:
Never mind policemanship. Ordinary mountains from snow.
But tell me what's going on?
Jack Rowland:
I ask that you immediately arrest the shipowner Andrea
Rosildi; he is hiding behind the stealing of the cross of
Pontius Pilate, as well as behind the plans.
Officer:
By Shipowner Andrea Rosildi? But how do I not
understand... Jack Rowland:
He is the main suspect, surrounding the Case of Italy and
the main financier of Tom Jackson and Alberto Abietto.
Officer:
Ok I understand policing. I will do what the law
prescribes.
Jack Rowland:
Thank you, Mr. Officer. Sorry for the inconvenience,
Happy New Year and have a nice evening.
Officer:
Happy New Year police and always successes. Have a nice
evening.
Jack hangs up the phone and goes tired of lying down on
his bed.
At the same time, at New York airport, the police are
arresting the shipowner Andrea Rosildi, and he is about
to travel to Washington.
- THE END -
