Emily POV
With the announcement and the reactions, my blood pressure dropped and with discomfort and discomfort, I look up at Nathan, reaffirming to both of us that this news did not make either of us happy.
In response, he just lifts one corner of his lips and kisses me lightly; he strokes my hair with the hand he had on my hip, and in a whisper against my ear, he lovingly encourages me: "Soon it will be just you and me."

I see myself in the mirror sporting a simple white dress with no train, not much lace or sparkle, in satin that while it hugged my curves decently, did not represent what I had once dreamed of for my wedding day which ends up making me sad and Lana behind my back notices this.
"Emily" As she can with her extra weight, she gets up from the couch and grabs me by the shoulders from my back resting her chin on my shoulder: "What's wrong?"
I glance at our reflections and dejectedly deny it.
"This is not how I imagined my wedding, Lolo."
