Although at the beginning this had been his orchestrated idea, now it was me who was practically forcing him to do it and although I still did not assimilate well the reasons for his refusal, the only thing that encouraged me to continue was the knowledge that with this he would not leave the country and would stay by my side. And as long as that happened, we would figure out the rest of our life together with whatever she brought us.
Although for four months of acquaintance, she had already brought us too much.
"So boys. do you want to go through with this?" the very decorous father finishes his speech of our last class of this course and without letting him hesitate, I take the lead and answer on behalf of the two of us, under Nathan's gaze.
"We are a sure father, this marriage will take place promptly" I say disguising my emotional instability with a smile that convinces him.
Father nods in satisfaction and gets up from his desk, moving a little away from us.
