Emily POV
"I think I did screw up with you OK, not being clear from the beginning was wrong. But I also think you're not off the hook. It was you who agreed in the first place to be my fake girlfriend for a couple of euros and a house. Or am I wrong?"
If I put it that way, it made me feel like a prostitute.
"I was in trouble Nathan, I made that decision because it was either that or losing my scholarship" I try to defend myself against his sudden new point of view attacking me, but I fail to do so successfully."
"Well, my decisions were also made in the middle of the rush. It was either you or it was losing my inheritance but you didn't lose anything, instead, I did" He lifts his shoulders and says no more, though the expression on his face said more than anything.
"Do you think I didn't lose anything, Nathan?"
"We're talking about the scholarship, did you lose it?" he questions me haughtily, knowing what the answer was.
